Horrible, horrible service. Limited English, menu is in Italian only, only 1 person spoke English, not tourist friendly. Also, the alley it is in is supposedly«trendy,» a euphemism for up and coming aka ghetto, has lots of scary characters loitering around at night. We saw 3 people get arrested and drug sniffing canines. The street is dirty and full of graffiti, and not the nice«artistic» kind. Not the best impression for tourists. Also, made us feel very unsafe at night walking back to the hotel. It took us 1.5 hours to get our appetizers JUSTTHEAPPETIZERS– at this place. Which were fried calamari and pre-made and marinated sardines.(Don’t get the sardines, they were too salty and not good) Reminded our server 3 times we were still waiting for our apps. 3 tables that came after us, Got their apps and dinner before we even got our appetizer… A nice Italian man next to us even noticed and told our waiter that we had waited a VERY long time. Very bad service, disorganized staff. No apology for taking so long for things that take only minutes to prepare. The main course took time as well. Underwhelming food. But when I asked for the check, I got it in a flash. I almost walked out several times, but kept giving them a chance to redeem themselves as I was on vacation and not in a rush. Food is average, the same as any other place in that alley(or in Rome, for that matter) quite expensive for what it is and the quality and service. 16 euros for ok calamari was just salt on the wound. The owner never even apologized. God forbid they actually comp something, but hey, that’s actually good service. If you’re a tourist, avoid this place. The food is mediocre and expensive and the«service» is atrocious. Ciao
