Growing in So Cal, I am a bit spoiled when it comes to Sushi. This place we be equals abet of buoying sushi at Vons or some thing like that. However, it was still a nice place and the fish was fresh, if limited In selection.

I love sushi and I frequent Japanese restaurants everywhere I go. To be objective, this place is over priced for Italy, it has the same price as Washington, D.C. With extremely small sushi size which seems cheap and a poor way to save material. The sushi taste is average while the service was bad and slow. Also, they lack the courtesy to serve both parties at the same time but rather serve people at the same tables 15 – 20 minutes apart. A true disappointment, will not return again.

My husband and I have been traveling around Italy and Greece for 2+ weeks. We love Italian food but really craved for something different. We were searching for Chipotle from city to city but no luck. haha. At first we were a little skeptical about getting sushi in Rome but we were desperate and the past reviews seemed somewhat promising. Turns out, it was a great experience. The fish was fresh, they had a decent selection of sashimi(no uni, on hotate) and the rolls were pretty good too. It was certainly not the best sushi I’ve ever had but it was pretty good and I would come back again. The owner and restaurant staff were very nice and professional. The atmosphere was very pleasant as well. If you’re craving for sushi in Italy, I’d highly recommend this place.

Probably the best raw fish I’ve ever had, but the portions you get for the price leaves a lot to be desired. Upon entering, I told the waitress in Japanese that I was with a party of 4, thinking she probably didn’t speak English since I’ve found a lot of places didn’t speak English, fortunately she did. The waitress asked us if we had a reservation, which we didn’t, but promptly seated us anyway. One of the members in our party didn’t want to eat too much raw fish, so we asked the waitress of there were any other options for the 4 of us, she recommended the sushi picolo, € 26, which had 6 rolls and 8 nigiris, along with some other dishes. We chose the mixed tempura, chicken karage, and shrimp tempura roll. 4 dishes plus 2 large bottles of water came to € 72 is pretty absurd to me. The portions are really small, so small that I don’t think it justified the price or the taste. We later went out to see what other stores were open late to get some more food because we were still hungry. I understand that the portions are usually small in Japanese restaurants, but the amount we got would probably only feed one person. I doubt I can’t get the same quality of food for a better price somewhere else, so until I’m proven wrong, I’d recommend avoiding this place if you’re with a group.

Excellent tempura, some of the best I’ve ever had. Toro, ebi, and unagi were fantastic. Will be back

Comida japonesa típica, sin fusiones. Muy buena. Poca variedad. Servicio cordial aunque un poco lento.

Chanced upon this place while we got lost going somewhere and so glad we did. Food is superb but you gotta be patient cause food trickles tasting miso soup, steak and sashimi. prices are reasonable. service is friendly. If you get tired of Italian food then make sure to give this place a try.

A California roll cost 14 euros! Cooked veggies were 8 euros and when it came, it was literally 8 bites of veggies. Teriyaki sauce cost an extra 1.50 euro and they would only add it to salmon. Good sushi, good salmon but way overpriced.

THEBESTSUSHI I’VEEVERHADINTHEWORLD!!!(this is a serious statement coming from me) I have a thing when I travel. It’s to eat sushi in every country I visit. Rome was no exception. Inquired with the concierge. Without a thought she said Hasekura. If you weren’t looking it, you’d walk right by never knowing that what you had just passed. Behind that massive door is a tiny, traditional sushi bar. We only speak English. They only spoke Japanese and Italian. With little effort they understood shashimi for two. After a few sips of sake, out came an enormous platter of the best raw fish I have ever had no joke. I was utterly surprised. Who would have ever guessed Rome would deliver on this?! Now I’ve never been to Japan, but this place had to be as close as you could get to being there. There were a few unrecognizable pieces. After eating a few pieces I did recognize I wasn’t afraid to try everything else. When you’re eating raw fish you can tell if it’s fresh. Every piece was perfection in freshness ensuring that the flavors are represented perfectly. I’m not a tee shirt girl I bought a tee shirt and wear it! If I ever get back to Rome, the first place I’m going is Hasekura

Good authentic Japanese food. Great location close to the Colosseum. Will definitely go back next time we’re in Rome. Sushi was really good and we lived in Japan for almost 3 years, so we are a little picky.
