Grand Hotel Tiberio

Staff is very friendly, room was nice and kept very clean. Customer service is not their downfall, for that alone I’d give them a much higher rating but the food was a real disappointment. Processed turkey, Alfredo sauce on the pasta was really bland, the eggs at the breakfast buffet were also very bland tasting. All in all I’d suggest if you end up staying here you find other dinning options (not that many in the immediate area)

Clean, nice room and good service. Can’t ask for more. Food and wine were good also. When in Rome do as the Romans do?

My family and I stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Rome during Christmas break. This hotel is not very conveniently located (15min –walk from the closest metro stop, Cipro; 40min — walk from the Vatican; 55min-​walk from the Pantheon). There is a small grocery store called Simply Market 3 min away by walking and a Carrefour express on the way to the Metro stop. They also didn’t have the best customer service. Some staff didn’t understand/​speak English. The décor is also rather interesting. Lots of Vaspas around the lobby with a nativity scene and a random snowball-​looking light thing in the center of the lobby. 2 elevators with average speed. Breakfast was included and it was buffet style (eggs, bacon, toast, pastries, fruit (fresh and canned), juice, coffee, milk, Nutella, corn, salad). Staff was slow on re-​stocking food; had to ask several times. The TV had 20 Italian channels and 1 English channel. They provided shampoo and soap but not conditioner. U can borrow adaptors and get one-​time use toothbrushes/​pastes from the front desk, which is nice. They can also call taxis for u; they come within 5min. Oh and one other bad thing that happened during our stay was a random machine noise that kept us up one night. We called the front desk and they were still trying to figure out where it came from. It lasted for an hour around midnight. If I were to visit Rome again, I would def stay at a hotel closer to a metro stop.
