Incredible atmosphere. Some of the best food I have had in Rome. Big salad, sausages, buffalo mozzarella pizza and finished with two delicious desserts. Each was perfect. Nicely attentive waiter. Reasonable prices. I highly recommend!

Best carbonara in Rome! The service is a little slow but that may just be the Italian lifestyle. If you are looking for a quiet but delicious place that won’t break the bank then Angelina is the place!

Pack it up Philadelphians, we’re heading to Italy! I was lucky enough to stumble across Angelina a Testaccio during a 9 day vacation to Rome and Ireland. Well, not quite stumble, but my girlfriend has some famiglia studying abroad, and they took us for a late(for me at least) dinner at one of their favorite places. The décor was pretty interesting. High ceilings and an overall historic feel to it, almost World Waresque, unlike many newer buildings. Rome itself is a very old city, so it was neat to dine at what I’m guessing was one of the city’s older style locations. There was even some periodic booming going on somewhere in the building, so it REALLY gave it a World War feeling(!). All jokes aside, it was very cool. The food was fantastic. Starting with bread all the way through to dessert at the end, everything was just as wonderful as I’d hoped for. And then some. The pasta was unbelievably and mouth-wateringly delectable, and seemed to have a bit more a fatty and salty taste than the pasta here in the states. Cooked al dente and served in a big olé bowl, just the way I like(love) it. We also ordered some sort of meat dish. Due to the language barrier, I’m not quite sure what cut it was, let alone the type of animal it came from. Nonetheless, it was cooked perfectly, and it fit in nicely with my vegetable free diet for the week. And the spices and seasonings made the perfect sauce for the carnivorous dish to bathe in. By the time we had dessert, I was in a food coma, sooo… maybe read some other reviews. They say that lunch is the biggest meal of the day in Italy, but really if you’re here on vacation, don’t go looking to budget and pinch pennies at this place. And mind you, I don’t speak a lick of Italian except to say thank you, but it was still very easy for an Americano like myself to enjoy a meal at Angelina’s.

Zur Küche können wir wenig sagen, weil wir nur einen Aperitivo hatten. Macht aber einen sehr guten Eindruck große Dachterrasse, moderne Einrichtung.
