This is a clean hotel. Mainly for business travelers. The rooms on the front of the building are loud from the traffic yet one must keep the windows open to cool the room since the air conditioner only works two hours a day. Recommend a room on the rear if you need to rest. Beds and pillows are very uncomfortable. Wifi is not very good and constantly drops out. Very convenient to Termini and most sights are within walking distance. Some of the day staff were very stand-offish when asked for suggestions for dinner. The evening desk staff were quite helpful with restaurant recommendations.

Worse hotel ever. Although there are a few redeeming individuals at the hotel it’s definitely no where near a 3 or 4 star. The beds are as soft as the old bricks of the colosseum. The pillows are a fluffy at a piece of matzah. The rooms were decently sized and so was the bathroom but after one shower there is no more hot water for the second person in the room. The Internet is shotty at best. All of these qualities can be redeemed because it is a cheap hotel but one reason why it gets such a low star is because we had a horrible incident one of which should be enough to not go to this hotel ever. We had like any traveler put valuable items into our room safe. You would think that would be a safe place. Well we counted our money which came to 1000 us and 600 euros in the safe. We came back that same evening and counted what we had in the safe to see how much we had for the remaining trip 100 was short from both stacks. That means 100 us and 100 euros. We tried to report it to the hotel Manager and they indicated that there is absolutely no way that can happen then sent us off. Said that they can record nor do anything about. Showed little to no concern rather just defensive about it. I hope that once you read this you will think long and hard if this is the right place for you to stay.

Primarily a business hotel located on busy Via Cavour, it’s conveniently located near Termini station which is only 2.5 blocks away, which means easy access to Leonardo Express train from Rome’s Fiumicino airport as well as connecting to Eurostar. The Metro is also closeby and we used it a lot(save your feet while you can, it’s hard walking on cobblestone streets!) The room was fairly spacious, although the bed was too hard for my liking. The bathroom had little counter space because the large sink took it all up! I didn’t like the toiletries — the soap is too drying, but good pressure in the shower and no problem with hot water. The breakfast spread was decent: hot foods(eggs and turkey bacon or sausage) and a basic continental spread. Check in and out was efficient and staff are professional. If being readily connected to a major transportation hub is important to you, Hotel Genova is your best bet.
