Lucullus was the kind of restaurant that appeared to be awesome but was a real disappointment. My friends and i booked an excursion to Pompeii and Sorrento(a must go). This restaurant was included in our package. It’s walking distance from the Pompeii ruins. It has this amazing driveway that’s covered with trees and all. So you think it’s going to be very cool. Based on the excursion reviews, we thought we were going to have really good pizza but we left disappointed. We were given the option of either a margherita pizza or a(meatless) spaghetti dish. When the spaghetti showed up, we were happy we had picked the pizza b/c it looked like Chef Boyardee was in the kitchen. However, the pizza didn’t fare too well either. The pizza were freshly made, uneven in shape(which is cool), but the dough was a little thicker than we had expected. There were little mozzarella cheese and whatever we had was coming off the pizza. The dough was just meh and I ended up eating only half of it. We were hoping the best pizza in the world, we could have gotten better in Cali. Wait until you get to Sorrento if you want to eat.

This restaurant is hidden from the main street. You have to walk all the way down a drive away to find it in a secluded area. It’s super cute! We visited this restaurant as a part of a tour. Our food choices were pizza or spaghetti. I ended up getting pizza and it was very decent. Perhaps next time, I will try sojmething else :-)

Every table is adorned with wine, soaking water, and fresh bread! The pasta is fresh and prepared with wonderful ingredients! I loved our visit as service was top notch!
