Spaghetteria Alle Bandierine

This place was amazing. My experience in Pisa in general was quite negative. That city had a unfriendly atmosphere filled with rude people. But this place is a diamond in the rough, if anyone reading this happens to be in Pisa defiantly stop here as service, food and overall experience is top notch.

A cozy place in Pisa! The food was GREAT. We had spagetti with lobster x2, spagetti with gorgonzola, cognac, tomato and peppers x2, spagetti with meat saus x1, bread, beef with parmesan and balsamico x1, brumo with saus x1, two litres of chianti wine, tre glasses of port wine, 5 double ekspresso, 2 bottles of water. And the price ended up to be 150 euros. Value! The service was the best. Go to this place if you are in Pisa :)

Also recommended by a local, this place did NOT disappoint! We had 2 starters, a bottle of water, bread, 2 pasta dishes, and about 6 glasses of wine for about 50 Euros. Yes, you can find cheaper food, but you would easily pay 100 for an equivalent meal anywhere in the US.
We had no idea what to order, so we asked our waiter to make some recommendations. He was super excited to help us out and his recommendations were PERFECT.
Family owned and run for at least 25 years. Visit them for a gourmet meal and a great experience!

Good, I ate caprese and it wass delicious, but I think you can find something less expensive nearby and the food will still be tasty — it’s Italy! :)

Very good food, great service, recommended by a local. The antipasti for two is a good value and quite enough food imho, i made the mistake of ordering an additional course which was just way too much food. Btw, I ate there in Summer 2012.

Eines der liebevollsten Lokale in Pisa.
Es gibt sogar einen deutsch bzw französisch sprechenden Kellner somit sind wichtige Fremdsprachen schon mal abgedeckt. Immer wieder gerne.

Das Essen schmeckt wirklich gut, der «Rest» ist aber wirklich enttäuschend. Die Pasta als Hauptgang war absolut zu wenig. Zu Wasser und Wein gab es nur ein einziges Glas und die Bedienung kam äußerst selten und schien sich nicht sonderlich für die Gäste zu interessieren. Richtig frech fanden wir, dass man sich neben der (üblichen) Coperta, der fixen Servicegebühr für Bedienung, Brot usw. auch noch eine 10%-ige «Service Charge» auf die gesamte Rechnung genehmigte. Wohlgemerkt beides, Coperta und Zwangstrinkgeld. Mit ½ Liter Hauswein, zweimal Pasta und zweimal Tiramisù kamen wir auf 42EUR, was wir als nicht angemessen empfanden. Dazu sitzt man auch recht beengt und (im hinteren Teil des Restaurants) nah bei den Toiletten.

Diese Spaghetteria in Pisa ist etwas schwankend in der Qualität. An manchen Tagen sind die verschiedenen Spaghettigerichte super, an anderen Tagen weniger so.
Viele verschiedene Variationen, alle traditionell, laden zum wiederholten Schlemmen ein. Wenn man sehr hungrig ist, dann kann man auch noch zu einem 2. Gang langen. Hier ist besonders die Ente empfehlenswert.
Ein nettes Örtchen, etwas teuer, aber definitiv sehr lecker.

Their dishes are a bit hit and miss, as is the service.
Come here on a good night and it’s fantastic. Show up on a bad night and, well, it’s pretty dire.
Don’t be surprised if your waiter brings the wrong bottle of wine or forgets your starter. Both have happened to me.
Prices are reasonable. A spaghetti dish is around EUR7 and a liter of house wine is EUR11.
They have a small outside seating area when the weather is warm.
Normally the spaghetti dishes are great, but I can’t make any promises.
Just come and hope for the best!
