It may have, and for some still is, a typical Neapolitan establishment. However, the staff is so unprofessional it makes it really hard to come back. We had to wait over 15 minutes, despite asking«Scusi» several times, to get the waiters’ attention. About 20 minutes to get some water. 30 minutes until someone finally showed up to take our order. Once you order you’re pretty much abandoned, i.e., nobody checked in to see if he had received everything or if we needed anything else. The food is just OK and priced accordingly. Napoli, despite its beauty, does not excel when it comes to welcoming tourists; however, this place just doesn’t rank and won’t see our faces again.

This was the best meal we had in Naples. Everything was simple but excellent products, presentation and delicious. The best Caprese salad we had including throughout Capri itself! We split one, as it’s quite big, and it was wonderfully presented and delicious. I had the classic Napolitan pizza, again very simple and delicious. I had the Panna Cotta for dessert which was thick, creamy and delicious. Did I mention everything was delicious? Very good wine list with a good choice of Italian wines. Again the best meal we had in Naples and certainly not more expensive than the others.

The food and prices are on par for Naples, but the service/ambiance leaves a lot to be desired. Given there are plenty of other places with good food in the area, I probably wouldn’t return here. We had two pizzas during a late lunch(~3pm) on a Saturday. When we showed up, the place was surprisingly packed given the time. Most people appeared to be finishing lunches or just having wine, though, and it was basically empty an hour later. It aims for this old charm, touting its 1916 foundation date everywhere. However, it comes across more as a façade with little heart/history behind it; the waiters go through the motions without showing actual care/interest for the customers there. Will it do the trick if you’re hungry? Sure. If you can’t read/speak a word of Italian, they have English menus and most of the wait staff speaks English, so it has that going for it. Will you leave feeling like just another table turned over? Pretty much. The coffee bar at the fancy grocery store across the street will make you feel more appreciated.

This is a nice restaurant in a very nice street in the heart of Naples. The service was great and the atmosphere comfortable. I had the gnocchi with clams and mussels, it was very delicious are arrived in good time. My colleague had the pizza and said it was also tasty. As for the price, it is as advertised €€€. No surprises. You can even read the menu before you go inside. If you want something less expensive there are many more options to choose from.
