Chowder

Wow! The food here is the best! We came in for lunch. I had the Chowder, which was loaded with Cod, Hake, salmon, haddock, squid, mussels, & skatewing. Hot, flavorful and very satisfying. We also split the De Brun’s Smoked Salmon w melted Brie & cucumber pickle. My mouth just salivated upon seeing the melt. The side salad was fresh and perfect, with a variety of veggies. This is a must stop for a seafood lover.

So normally places that have names like best, honest, of world famous in the title tend to now be as expected. I thought this place was going to be similar in that regard, offering chowder for the everyday kinda crowd, but I was wrong. Mussels, calamari, and fish all in a bowl from heaven and seasoned perfectly!

We enjoyed our lunch here so much that we came two days in a row! The staff is so, so nice and welcoming. So, the chowder… as fresh as it gets, changes daily based upon what fish they have in, and is jam packed full of high quality and delicious seafood. They had fish and chips on special while we were there. Again, so fresh and super high quality. Best fish and chips I’ve ever had. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My husband had an open crab sandwich and that did not disappoint either. I would definitely recommend stopping here and I can’t wait to stop by again on our next trip to Dingle.

Even though it was after 12pm, they allowed us to order breakfast. I had the mini Irish breakfast and Chris had the full Irish breakfast.
Normally, I don’t enjoy the puddings, but the half sections we received of each were delicious and well seasoned.
Our latte and cappuccino were made well and our waitress was friendly without overlooking us.
The women next to us were enjoying some pasta special with clams. They seemed to love it because they ate the whole plate of it.
I would definitely recommend this place for lunch or brunch.

It was a rainy day and Chowder’s open warm goat cheese, mushroom, and tomato sandwich with a balsamic drizzle and salad was perfect. The goat cheese was very creamy with no strong aftertaste and all the ingredients in the meal were very fresh. One of my favorite meals on my two-​week trip of Ireland!

Really bad service. Forgot our coffee due to being «busy». They only have 6 tables! Chicken was like rubber. Seafood gumbo was way too salty.

Excellent place. Simply the best Chowder we have ever had! Neat, clean, and a real value.

This place is really great for both breakfast and lunch! I really really love the American style pancakes! They’re served with fresh fruit, sweet cream and syrup! The staff are really friendly and the atmosphere is really nice! Also good pretty inexpensive so it won’t break the bank! Great place!
