Delicious food. Myself and my girlfriend come here on almost a daily basis. Reasonably priced and good service. I always have the avacado sushi and massaman curry. Yum! The head waiter is an absolute legend and always up for the craic.

The staff were lovely and very attentive. I ordered the tempura squid and it was delicious. The freshest squid I’ve had in Ireland for a long time. My friends had the lunchtime bento boxes and were impressed. They got a lot of different tasty foods for a very good price. Service was fast also which suited as we were just on a quick lunch break from the hospital(this restaurant is situated just across the road from the Beacon Hospital). I am looking forward to my next visit, I’m already dreaming of more squid tempura!

As far as Japanese food good Musashi is pretty good. Their sashimi, gyoza and katsu are very good. Their tempura is alright. As for dessert goes, forget it. We got the«dessert menu» and it clearly said everything was homemade(to which I was a bit sceptical about). I ordered the banofi pie and my other half the carrot and walnut cake. Both were supposed to come with a dollop of whipped cream but when they came out there was no trace of the cream or the homemade-ness. When I asked the waitress she just said«oh we don’t have cream left» but we were still charged full price… And, well, let’s say you get better homemade dessert in any supermarket.

Adore this place. You’d nearly miss it. It’s opposite the car park entrance to the beacon hotel. Above the Subway. It is great for vegetarians. Sushi is Delish. Have had the tofu steak and noodles too. Yum.

The night before nye and can’t be bothered to cook so a nice bit of sushi is just in order. Went online to order and very impressed with the choice on the menu. A wide selection of different sushi and hotbnoodle/wok/curry deals also. We choose a couple of different types of sushi(spicy tuna and tempura cod) alongside some gyosa and port starters. The sushi was fantastic. Really good flavours and the tempura was a nice crispy touch to it. Sadly we had asked for avocado in spicy tuna(as offer avocado with normal tuna) but this was not added. Still a good spicy flavour and nice tuna. The gyosa was a little lacklustre and the pork starter didn’t really taste of anything. I would go back for sushi but probably just that. Word of caution as well. If going to actual restaurant, wrap up! It was so cold in there even the waiter was wearing a woolly hat!

I often visit this location as the crew in the office like to grab sushi on a pretty regular basis and this place does do some amazing sushi. They have a good selection of beers and do lunch specials which are very reasonably priced. They also have other Japanese fare like teriyaki steak and ramen for those who are not fans of sushi. The staff are lovely and the food is really good but parking is a bit odd as there is no parking directly out front but if you know the area you can park behind the restaurant where the other shops are and walk over quite easily.

Everyone knows Musashi’s reputation by now. I think we can say modestly that it’s one of the best three sushi restaurants in Dublin at the moment. So my partner and myself just wanted to try out the newish Sandyford addition the other night to see if it was up to the original Musashi’s standards. I have to say, apart from a lack of ambiance because the place was nearly empty, the quality of the food was amazing, second to none. I was really impressed. I got one of the best miso soups I have had in ages, with a ton of seaweed in it, which I love. We ordered some yasai gyosa and yasai tempura and they were both excellent and came out piping hot. Then we had a few different sushi plates. The quality of the fish was really noteworthy. It just tasted so good. I had a bad experience at a sushi restaurant in Paris a few weeks ago that really put me off raw fish, but Musashi has rekindled my faith. It was generous with portions, didn’t hold back on quality, and the presentation was beautiful. I am sure they get a lot of business at lunch time with all the businesses around. But it would be nice if there was a little bit more of a crowd in the evening. Maybe it was just an odd day, but Sandyford is a bit out of the way. This place holds the bar for any other sushi place in the area, please go try it out.

I had to try musashi, as it is new to the area I live. It was Saturday night and the restaurant was empty, which nearly made us walk away. But I am glad we gave it a chance. Staff was very friendly, food was delicious and nicely presented. Try ebi gyoza — AMAZING! The desserts were yummi, I highly recommend ginger crème brûlée.
