SUN CABS
Sun Cabs, operating from their Mayfield base, have been a regular part of life in the North East for the city for many years.
They are used by all sorts: housewives with shopping from Dunnes in Blackpool or Ballyvolane, a clutch of twenty somethings before and probably after a night out, or like myself recently, coming home from town after a meal and a glass or two of wine.
The drivers are generally reliable and courteous. Delays and frustration can set in at busy times but that applies to all taxi companies and, in any case, the queues are smaller now since the Celtic tiger went into hibernation.
