Island View Riding School

I go to Island View both as an experienced rider for a great ride and thrill on the beach and for an individual lesson with Uschi, the owner, which I find invaluable as there are so many pointers she can give me to improve my ride, experience and confidence.
I have brought my two children there who are aged 5 and 3 and they have introduced Island View to their friends and it has become a great afternoon treat for them all as they love the playground in the garden too afterwards and feeding the ducks, rabbits and horses and holding the puppies last summer!
We all love it and cannot recommend it enough!

Set in an idylic setting between Benbulben Mountain and the Atlantic Ocean just outside Grange village on the road north this lovely farmhouse and stables is a must if you love horses or riding. The owner Raymond has a passion for breeding Irish Draught Horses. There is a fantastic selection of horses and ponies for all ages and sizes and abilities. As a complete beginner I set off down the track to the beach on Cooper which was a large horse but very patient. It was a fantastic experience riding along the beach drinking in the view. The staff are all very experienced and I would highly reccommend this place. We were a party of five with one child and we all got riding minutes after arrival. Best to ring ahead and book as it gets quite busy
