This is a great little bakery at the top of Salthill’s main street. They do some amazing looking bread and cakes but the real winner for me are the regular stocks of gingerbread men. Suitably smothered in chocolate on the limbs, with loads of sweets to decorate. They’re perfectly chewy without being moist, and they’re really flavourful with ginger.
The staff are always so sweet in here– once I had picked up two but only had a twenty to pay, and rather than run to break the note, she allowed me to take the two for the price of one. When I came back in the next time and paid for my free biscuit, they were just so grateful! It was really lovely.
