Taste

Located above the Spar shop right on the Crescent Taste is victim to its own location. Monkstown is host to some of the best restaurants in the area, nearly every type of cuisine and culture is represented in one way or another. Taste, on its own, is a fairly decent restaurant with above average food and service. It would be hard to complain about nearly anything in the restaurant save for the sound system (compact CD player in the corner) and maybe the décor (I don’t like booths in restaurants… but that is just my opinion).
If this wasn’t next door to FXB’s i wouldn’t wonder what i was missing as i dug into their steak… you just know that the quality of food just doesn’t live up to what is on offer elsewhere in the town.
There is however a huge bonus when you look at the deals on offer. They have obviously conceded that they are is a tough spot and have many special offers available to customers.
I can imagine this would be a nice place for a good Sunday brunch rather than a romantic evening meal for two. although the view from the corner window over the square is the best in town.
