Excellent products and customer service! I needed a vogue pattern urgently, so I called this place — it’s one of the few places that stock them in Ireland. The lady on the phone was very friendly, efficient, and offered to mail me the pattern.(In comparison, if you called Hickey’s in town, you’d wait on the phone for atleast ten minutes, then they’d charge you quite a bit for postage, etc.) Anyway, I received the pattern along with the receipt as well as a thank you note for shopping with them. I would definitely do business here again!

I would suggest coming here only if you are a decisive person. If not, you are sure to spend hours oohing and ahhing over all the beautiful silks RCS has to offer and still not have made up your mind. Having had dresses made here by the wonderful in house designer; Ann Flavin, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. For the most special of occasions, RCS adds that little something extra to the experience; choosing your fabric from the plethora of colours and patterns and having it whisked into another room to create your fantasy dress is just short of magical. Every time I’ve been, Ann has been more than accommodating of my fickleness with regards to what I want, and has offered expert advice in tailoring my vision to the practicalities of not being your average 6ft 2 model. I have never been disappointed and am sure to return. Now all I need is an excuse!

Armed with an almost-expired living social voucher for an introduction to sewing course, I hopped on the DART and found Roisín Cross Silks only a three minute walk from the Dún Laoghaire station. The current director of RCS is Judith, a lovely lady who was very welcoming to all six of us in the class. The instructor was Sarah, a superb teacher. We were talked through choosing and reading a pattern, cutting and marking cloth and using a sewing machine. I really enjoyed it, Sarah gave me great confidence to have a lash at it myself.
