Believe the store is operating online now. Couldn’t find the store at Powerscourt and then found an article that it had needed to go virtual:

The cutest little shop ever. I have only been in for a little look around but should one of my bears require some emergency attention they look like they would take the utmost of care ! I can imagine I would have loved this place as a child

Wow quite a selection of the mini things for a dollhouse! I would have been really thrilled about this place when I was little as I was fascinated by the minature things especially mini kitchen items!

When I was little I was never interested in dolls unless I could cut their hair off… now it seems I have some catching up to do. The Dollstore is absolutely gorgeous and I can spend ages walking around in here looking at the dolls and dollhouses. There are also some classic teddybears on the shelves, which are absolutely adorable. I know this sounds mean, but I think most of the dolls in here would be wasted on little girls because they’re more collector’s items. Still, they are pretty to look at and the girl’s in here don’t mind if you just browse and not buy.

It’s a sign of the times when a hospital has to close –only this time, it’s the Doll Hospital at The Dolls Store. The little paper sign stating the indefinite closure doesn’t give specifics as to when it may open again, which is unfortunate as having a repair service like that in town is so comforting. While Raggedy Anne may need to find a new place for limb reattachment, there’s still plenty of beautiful, fun pieces to be had for the serious dolls and doll house collector. Beyond the wall of detailed accoutrements(like the tiniest basket of bread rolls you’ve ever seen), tables full of petite turkish carpets and complete rooms in glass cases, there’s still wired-in lighting, fixtures, pets, plants and more. The armies of dolls –both stuffed, plastic and porcelain –and their clothes round out the rest of the first floor. Gifts and more Dollhouse accessories can be found on the second floor as well, making this tiny shop a thing of wonder for any fan of miniatures.

So so cute! You have to take a trip in here! Now unfortunately I’m all grown up and don’t have any daughters/cousins/nieces I can drag in here with me, but if I did, I would spend every Saturday afternoon I could in this gorgeous little shop. It’s every little(or 24 yr old) girl’s heaven — dollies, houses, teddies… and you can also bring your dollies here to be fixed. It’s like a dolly hospital!

I use to love this place as a kid and use to brake my dolls just to go to the dolls hospital, it is amazing what they can do to mend abused teddy’s and china dolls. The dolls houses and furniture are really really exquisite and delightful to look at and the craft and handy work that goes in to the making of the furniture for the houses is amazing. They of course have lots of dolls for sale but they are collector items or china dolls and really expensive and also quite creepy but it is still worth a look and a great place to bring any little girl!

They have a Dolls Hospital for crying out loud! How can you not love a place that boasts of a Dolls Hospital for all your poorly teddies and dolls to get fixed! This place has been running for about four decades, they stock dolls, accessorises for them, houses for them, and even 100% mortgages for them, I jest. It’s a spot that induces a lot of, ‘Awww would cha look at that! Awww that is adorable!‘ Great if you like fawning, hellish if you are an Emo. Great place to lighten your day with a lot of cuteness. The dollhouses are insanely amazing, it’s something for me to aspire to and at this rate that will be also the scale that I can about aspire to owning.

This is a treasure trove of dolls houses and miniatures for children or serious collectors. and at least it’s more affordable then the real thing ;-) I love to go in here and look at the dolls furniture Everthing for your little girl, or the«little girl» in you! The dolls hospital is also on site so if you want to get your old teddy bear refluffed then this is the place to go.
