Why do I love the Swiss Deli so much? Because one of the best opening scenes from a movie ever was shot here! The opening of Intermission, where a rather dashing Colin ‘Feckin’ Farrell headbutts a young waitress! Actually when I read that back it doesn’t sound so funny, but believe me it is!
Apart from that, it is a really cool modern deli, great for lunches and just chilling with friends. It is a pretty trendy place, especially for a place like Rathfarnham Shopping Centre. All neutral coordinating browns and creams and whites with lots of wood, leather and glass features! Even the bathrooms are cool.
The food is great too, awesome sambos and buffalo chicken pasta is really taste and only € 7 for a grand size portion! Good coffee and cakes and muffins and that sort of stuff too and they don’t mind if you take your time and just sip your drink and chat and chill friends! Mind you it does get real busy at lunch time so maybe this isn’t the best time to head up if you do want to chill!
