This pharmacy is your worst nightmare when you are feeling sick and miserable. The layout of the pharmacy is very hard to try and find specific items.

I have a love-hate relationship with small pharmacies. I love the personalized attention you receive, and this can be a blessing when you’re ill and need some advice. In addition, these teeny pharmacies basically don’t exist in US cities and suburbs, having all been replaced by big shops similar to Boots, so the novelty factor is there. What I don’t like is the lack of selection from over the counter medicine to beauty products. I wish I didn’t have to go all the way to my nearest Boots to find what I really want. I guess these kind of places are better for filling prescriptions than buying shampoo or even OTC meds. I was suffering from a painful illness and the place only had one kind of medicine to treat it, and it was expensive. On the upside, the pharmacist who helped me was great and really informative.

If you know the Wexford st/Aungier street junction at all(complete with it’s eleven thousand infuriating pedestrian crossing) you are probably familiar with O’Hara’s. Or rather, you’re familiar with the giant sign that reads: MASTECTOMY on the side of the building. I’ve only ever been in here a few times, but got severely disoriented once as about half the stock had disappeared. They did renovations a few months back which led to a reshuffle of stock and much less produce. Aside from that, there’s not much to say, it’s a bog standard chemist I guess. The staff are nice though. I got confused trying to print off photos and the lady behind the counter was very pleasant.
