I ordered small with two flavors– sea salt and cookies. They said that these two are made by themselves. Sea salt tastes salty, but then you can taste the sweetness coming out naturally. Cookie was good as well! I like the idea that pretty much everything is made by themselves.

Wish they brought this to California. Mom and I had Murphy’s 3 times in one day. Yesssssss. It’s that good. Surprisingly, their ice cream is not too sweet, but flavors are strong, just the way I like it!

It’s a must, whenever I’m eating downtown I always make a point of skipping dessert and making my way over to Murphy’s. Engaging staff and always willing to let you sample they’re fare before you buy.

Please let me join the hoard of people who love this ice cream place. This is my new favorite ice cream place ever. My favorite flavors: Brown bread ice cream Lavender ice cream Dingle sea salt They’re all delicious with that perfect creaminess and excellent flavor. If you’re in Dublin, this is where you need to be. Thank me later.

I wish I found Murphy’s before my last day in Dublin because the ice cream was unreal. The first one I tried, just out of curiosity, was the caramelized brown bread and it was delicious. I tried a few others, but eventually ended up ordering that flavor. My boyfriend was very indecisive and they kept pushing him to try other flavors(including the specialty offerings) because they said they enjoyed it. Great customer service and crazy good ice cream.

They let you taste test everything until you find the perfect flavor! The service at Murphy’s is unlike most places. The staff is great and so are the treats. This is a «must» when in Ireland!

The ice cream was beyond creamy and the server let us try as many sample as we wished which, being indecisive, I always appreciate. I ended up with a medium with sea salt, honeycomb caramel, and caramelized brown bread. My had already visited Murphy’s and knew she wanted sea salt and Irish coffee. It was a nice portion and I thought the prices were reasonable for a speciality ice cream shop. The shop setting itself is really cute and the workers were very friendly! I’m hoping to make it back for a second visit this trip!

Literally as good as it gets! The whole point of coming here is to try the great funky flavors which change occasionally. Staff are always great about letting you sample before you buy(just try to restrain yourself a bit though which is difficult!) and are friendly to boot. Central location means you can justify stopping by just about any time. My personal favorite is their Irish coffee flavor. Now THAT’S the good stuff. Others would have you believe that the best is the brown bread flavor, which isn’t a bad option but obviously can’t top that whiskey and coffee bean taste! You’re sure to find a favorite, and it’s really reasonably priced too, so unfortunately I’ll probably start getting fat off of mine…

No doubt, their ice cream is excellent and I love especially their sea salt ice cream. Their staff is very friendly and the fact that you can taste their rather unusual flavours first is a very nice touch. But only three stars due to lack of information about their prices. It looked to me like two scoops are still the small portion but either that was wrong(the picture misleading) or the fact the I went for the offered bigger cone made it a medium size and their ice cream is not cheap so that made quite a difference.

DELICIOUS! Usually when I’ve passed Murphy’s, I’ve taken a sample. I believe I’ve tried Sea Salt and Peanut, among others. This time I decided to stop in. I ordered their masterpiece, the sticky toffee pudding. It was created with brown bread ice cream(this by itself is a crazy thing! Actual chunks of brown bread and a salty/sweet flavour) and caramel sauce and was insanely good. My only slight objection was the price– five euro for a tiny little cup. But maybe I was just being greedy because I wanted more! The shop itself is very clean and nice, with comfortable seats and bright lighting. The staff members we encountered were very friendly and joked around with us about Irish slang. I will definitely be back! Side note: they have gin flavoured ice cream– what can this be like? Will have to return to find out…

Dropped by due to the high ratings on Unilocal.I had the chocolate chip and their version of cookies and cream(can’t remember the exact name). It took me a few minutes to decide what I wanted because they do have a few selections to choose from. Too bad I didn’t read the other Unilocal reviews about the samples. They didn’t offer us any… funny though because the next two sets of customers that came in after us where offered samples right away. It’s not worth going back there for the ice cream if that’s considered good.

Seriously amazing ice cream. The sea salt ice cream is out of this world! Great friendly service. Quality ingredients. Though I no longer live here, this ice cream is some of the best I’ve ever had.

Murphy’s — Dublin’s answer to G&Ds(a reference for all you Oxford people out there). An amazing selection of different ice creams, ranging from«normal”(vanilla, chocolate, etc), to the more interesting(Dingle Gin, sea salt, or brown bread). The staff always seem really friendly, giving out tasters, and selecting combinations of ice cream(gin with lemon sorbet is one of my favourite refreshing ones). There’s a small seating area, so you can sit in to enjoy your dessert(in case the weather outside isn’t quite as nice as you hoped), and it’s open till 10pm. One downside — they appear to have stopped selling hot chocolate in the Dublin shop(I was looking forward to it as I wandered past on a chilly winter’s evening)

I love the décor of Murphy’s. I love all of the more out-there flavours of ice cream available here. I love that they serve all year round. Sometimes ice cream is just what you crave in winter! My favourite has to be the peanut butter ice cream. It’s just so delicious. This is a really fun place to take tourists, as they can try out the likes of ‘sea salt’ or ‘brown bread’ flavoured ice cream. It’s just fun, exciting and something different, and I love it!

How can you not love Murphy’s? Simply put it’s the best ice cream you can buy in Dublin. They have a great variety of flavours, some normal, some highly unusual but all delicious. I would specifically recommend Kieren’s Cookies and Brownbread flavours together. Their sea salt flavoured ice cream is also terrific. You want simple food bliss? Go to Bunsen for a burger, go to Murphy’s for ice cream and then simply laze away the night knowing you’ve done Dublin proud.

Love this place!! There are a lot of ice cream places along Grafton Street but I will go out of my way to return to Murphy’s any time I have a craving. I’m definitely an ice cream snob, I only splurge when it’s all natural and freshly made, because then you know it’s going to be good. It’s the best thing ever when ice cream flavors taste like the actual thing, and not some super sweet nod to a flavor. It’s a kind of no frills type of place which I really respect, no sprinkles and syrups, just great flavors made from natural ingredients. This ice cream is extra creamy and delicious and what other ice creams want to be when they grow up. First of all, you get all the samples you want. While you wait in line they wouldn’t shun you for trying the full stock of flavors, in fact they would probably encourage it. I loved everything I sampled(try the Caramelized Brown Bread, it’s not what you’d expect but in a good way!) but particularly the Irish Cream, I love coffee flavored ice cream and this was incredible. The Sea Salt would probably be my second fav. I didn’t know what to expect but I love salty sweet and that’s exactly what it is! The chocolate was also perfect, a «grown up» chocolate: nice and rich and not overly sweet(none of them are). I can’t wait to work my way through all of their flavors, and I have a feeling that will probably happen very soon. The small portion is actually two good-sized scoops and you get to pick two flavors. It’s the perfect amount in a crispy and delicious cone, served by super friendly staff wearing newsboy caps; it just doesn’t get any better!

HANDSDOWNTHEBESTICECREAM I’VEEVERHAD and some REALLY interesting flavors as well. You are allowed to basically try all their 8 — 10 flavors and their workers are so friendly and actually come around asking you to try specific flavors! I tried pretty much all of them and let me say I love each and every one of them. From the Sea Salt Caramel to the Honeycomb to the flowery one(can’t remember which flavor this was) to the Irish Coffee, the Cookie, and my FAVORITETHEBROWNBREAD. Sounds weird but it is DELICIOUS– perfectly creamy and almost like a more tasty vanilla ice cream with little bread crumbs inside which hits the spot. It’s a little like eating graham cracker flavored ice cream with little cracker bits in every single bit. To die for. I want a luggage full of this stuff!

This place truly is the«cough» cream of the crop when it comes to delicious ice cream for Dublin. It really is as good as anywhere I’ve tasted it abroad and better than most. My other half and I went for a combo of caramel honeycomb and Irish coffee(with whiskey!!) sooooo goooooood. The milky creaminess really comes through. The service is also excellent with tastings offered by one of the employees going up and down the queue. Sweet :)

Local flavors made from the milk of local cows?!? It doesn’t get any more better than this! BROWNBREAD and GIN flavored ice cream? You best believe I had a scoop of each. Service is super friendly, taste samples are encouraged, and last but not least, free wifi. This place is not to be missed while in Dublin! P.S– the SEASALT flavor is great too!
