Mizzoni Pizza and Pasta

I would describe Mizzoni’s as cheap and cheerful pizza. Amazing when you’re drunk, good when you’re starving and poor when you’re looking for something of high quality. But ultimately it’s a low cost fast food takeaway so you can’t expect much. The interior of this one is quite dingy and tiny. I think they probably focus more on the delivery side of things here than people walking in off the street. The food we got was good. We were pretty after having a few pints watching the world cup so it did satisfy our needs. The one thing they’ve got going for themselves is that they’re great value. They’ve so many deals going on and also take their competitors vouchers so they won’t exactly be beaten on price. They’re pretty quick getting out the food too. I’d recommend it if you’re a student, you’ve had a bit to drink or you just need a quick fix.

I was in here for a calzone combo earlier today. It’s ten euro for non-​students and six for students. For six euro, it was a lot of food. I had a 9.5′ calzone with a large helping of chips and a can of coke and some garlic sauce. The calzone was nice enough, I wasn’t a big fan on the toppings I chose but I think it would be nicer with other ones. The chips I couldn’t even make a dent in. I was so stuffed. Coke is always a dream with food like pizza.
The service was fine but it was strangely busy when I was waiting for the food. Also, there aren’t many places to sit. If you’re lucky, you get one. Otherwise, it’s a dash and dine scenario. Overall, I was okay with what I got.

Mizzoni pizza is that good reliable place where if you ran out of groceries or don’t feel like cooking, they are there for you. I buy here once every few weeks for that very reason. They are open fairly late too, even on Sunday nights.
They have a decent special for 9.50 for a large pizza (16 inch I think) with four different toppings included. Usually it makes for a decent dinner for two when you just don’t feel like cooking. The toppings choice is fairly solid too with plenty of options. They don’t exactly layer it on though, I definitely think they could increase the toppings per pizza. The crust is nice and crispy and it usually comes with a great sauce for dipping the crust. They also have these chicken dippers which are fairly amazing and not too expensive either as a good starter. I highly recommend those.
I always carry out rather than get delivery. They are usually pretty quick. I can call in an order and pick it up about 10 minutes later. Service is friendly enough too.
In summary, the pizza isn’t the best pizza I have ever had, but they are open late, have quick friendly service and the quality is always fairly consistent and reliable. No complaints for 9.50 for a large pizza with 4 toppings.

The pizza is pretty good. It’s a thin crust with a hint of crisp — not quite the crunch of a true «thin-​crust» pizza, but not the more doughy version that makes for a real New York-​style pizza.
Our ham and mushroom had plenty of toppings, with a passable sauce that is fortunately kept to a minimum. The combination menu actually has some nice variety and the place frequently offers specials.
This is the reliable place nearby you go to late at night or when you need something quick without thinking too much. They are open Sunday evenings, which is another plus.
There are other options nearby when you want more out of the experience, but Mizzoni is certainly ‘fit for purpose.’

Me: «*shrug* yes»
What do I get? Pepperoni and Mushrooms pizza. I don’t eat meat and have always thought Pepperoni was a weird meat anyway. The fact that the pizza was wrong was not realized until we were home – too hungry to wait and check!
I have had a different Mizzoni Pizza before and it was a lot better.
