I used to avoid McDonalds, the ‘smell’ of the food being cooked was not appetizing, and the loo’s were worse in terms of whatever cleaning product they used in them. Recently, due to hunger, and finances, I went to the McD in the airport and got a surprise. I ordered the € 2 ‘Double Cheeseburger’ and the crew member asked me if I’d like anything extra free on it (except the 45c ‘extra bacon’), so I ordered ‘extra lettuce and sliced tomato and hold the pickle’. Now, I KNOW McD isn’t the bee’s knees as regards gourmet dining, but compared with some of the other offerings costing 3 times as much at Dublin Airport I think McDonalds are leading the way in regards to taste for your Euro !
