I loooooooove Mannings! Whether it’s a delicious sandwich or a cake slice I’m craving, Mannings is the go to if I’m eating out while in college. They have a menu of sandwich options, but you can also make up your own sandwich which I love! My go-to sandwich contents consists of goats cheese, pesto and sun dried tomatoes with a small bit of mayo, toasted on brown bread. My mouth is watering at the thought of it right now. Their red velvet cake slices are also worth a try as they are absolutely divine, as are all of the desserts though really. You can get your food to go or sit in, I mainly get it to go as it is always incredibly busy during lunch hours. You can also avail of a 10% student discount with a valid student card, and if you don’t have a student card, you can get a sandwich stamp card and build up 10 stamps and get your next sandwich free, which is always a great incentive to return!

Although the pastries are quite good, the cappuccino I ordered was far from what it should be. The drink served to me was mostly boiling hot milk without any foam. If you go, order an Americano.

It is a lovely place, and cakes look great. I was just saying that I wanted«an americano and a slice of ca.» when the waitress just started ignoring me to dedicate her attention to the coffee. Well. Okay. I tried a pear and almond tart and it was tasty, but really dry. The service did not improve. I wasn’t given a spoon for my coffee, and there were none available for the customers to take. Not a big deal, but I noticed one lady complaining about the same thing, and one of the waiters brought a spoon immediately after. Not so bad, overall; I might come back, but customer service could easily be improved.

Dirty, horrible customer service, latte that taste like milk. The latte was so bad that I had to throw it away and go to another café nearby.

Staff is polite and ambient is cosy and well organized with nice display windows so you can actually see all their delicatessen they sell. I like this place but last time I went there for breakfast I was disappointed. I ordered one large Cappuccino(2.70) and a Croissant(2.25) but the Cappuccino was too hot and the milk foam was quite flat. It was more a sort of latte(with more coffee) and than on a top of it some milk foam. I expected more from this place because they have really nice pastries and staff is friendly. I imagine they are working hard to achieve the perfection so this is my feedback for an improvement. I will back again in the future. However I recommend this place because they have nice cakes.

I stumbled upon Manning’s a few years ago when my rental car got the«clamp» for parking without a permit in the street just behing this location. As I waited for the«un-clampers» to arrive, I decided I needed a beverage and a bathroom break. After a short walk, I found Manning’s. Upon arrival I noticed the excellent selection of perfectly presented bakery items in the front and a bistro/sandwich counter just behind it. I selected a tart topped with natural crème, and fruit. This along with a few bottles of water were selected and I made my way back to my disabled car. I then shared this delicious treat with my family and we vowed to come back on our next trip to Dublin. Guess what? We definitely made it back! After a long day of sightseeing in Dublin we stopped here for a mid-afternoon lunch and had some wonderful sandwiches before delving into their pastry selection. I found the prices very reasonable and the quality is top-notch. We’ve bookmarked this location as a must-see each time we’re in Dublin!

Mannings was sold to us as a good local place for a cheap but decent feed and that’s exactly what it turned out to be! Filled up on some Mediterranean veg soup with some multi-seed bread. Seed bread indeed as there was as much seed as there was bread. Soup and atmosphere were both ok. No frills.

After one look in the window, my dad and I stopped in here for a quick pastry and a tea. We were actually on our way to another little café, but the display looked so good we figured we’d try it out. I got earl grey tea and a fruit tart, and my dad got green tea and a cinnamon roll. It was hard to choose! The counter staff was patient and friendly as we kept changing our minds. WIFI was free and easy to access. Only wish I had remembered to take photos of our delicious pastries so that we could upload them here!

I’m so glad we walked past this delightful café/bakery. I wasn’t a bit hungry but 1 look at the delectable display and the packed diner was enough to steer me into the restaurant. I figured a bakery this crowded can only mean the food is likely to be damn good or damn cheap. Either way I was not about to walk away without sampling the goodies. I ordered a coffee, a piece of Chocolate cake and a sherbet. Needless to say the dessert was quite delicious. I enjoyed the rich coffee as well. The Java was a good compliment to the rich chocolate cake. Perhaps next time I shall order some of their lunch choices.

Hungry for lunch, I came for pies. Savoury pies. There were none. It soon became clear that I’d missed the point. Mannings is where you come for an old-school Irish breakfast or cream cakes. I’m thinking Ann’s Hot Bread Shop circa 1995. Honestly, I was disgruntled with the lunch deli options. But my frown turned upside down when I decided that no self-respecting diner at Mannings should leave without trying some cake and devoured the coffee slice. With sweet coffee icing sticking to the roof of my mouth, laminated flakes of pastry spilling into my lap and generous whipped fresh cream and bonus jam squelching all over my fingers, I left knowing that I’d have to come back for more.

The shortest review I have ever written, as there is no need to go on too long: awesome cakes and pastries, really cheap but also really tasty… absolutely recommended! P. S. Try the custard and fresh fruit tart and let me know! :3

So yummy and reasonably priced. I purchased a chicken and streaky bacon sandwich with the cauliflower soup. All for just € 8. Later got carrot cake as takeaway for € 2.

Mannings is probably my one and only place for breakfast! I’ve never tried the cakes(maybe because I know I could get too addicted and that could be dangerous) but I so love their sandwiches they use lovely salads, nice cheese, nuts, vegetables and those ingredients that makes the whole thing full of different flavours and aaaahh is so tasteful!(Haha I had a moment there) You will never go wrong… Scramble eggs, yogurt and fruits, toasts, fresh orange juice… Everything is very good. I super recommend it!

I’ve stopped in Mannings Bakery in Blanchardstown Shopping Centre plenty of times but this was my first time stopping in their bakery. It was my own fault for waiting until last minute as the selection is a bit picked over by 4:30pm, but even the limited selection that was left the cakes still tasted amazing. Even better, 2 cakes for € 3.60 and let me tell you, each and every penny of this goodness is worth it.

Mannings is an institution. Massive breakfasts. Great salads. Lunch time menu is a great price. Eclairs and cream donuts to beat the band(be still my cholesterol clogged heart!) and bread that Mam will come in especially for. It’s never impossible to get a seat but it certainly seems so most days. The place is usually jammed with old-school locals, new-school locals, business men and art students. So quite the mix! The staff are like machines, constantly cleaning as they go around, a table need only be empty a few seconds before its cleaned off and has someone new on it. An institution.

Good little spot with some delectable looking pastries, sandwiches and spreads. I spent about 15 – 20 minutes in here just to kill some time. My americano was decent enough and the price was right too. The only oddity was that the men’s bathroom was locked when I went to use it. The door itself said«vacant» but the door would not open. When I inquired about it, the staff told me to use the women’s. I decided to go elsewhere to use the facilities. I’m sure that’s something they will fix.

This is a cute little café. The coffee is good and the food looks nice, though I haven’t tried it. My only complaint is the absence of posted business hours and the relatively unfriendly staff. In here on a Sunday afternoon before closing, the staff seemed totally uninterested in serving customers.

You know you have found somewhere special when the blue rinse parade frequent a bakery religiously, they know their buns! And you also know you are on to a good thing when the arty students of NCAD, the flash suits of the local big businesses and the blue rinse parade hang out in the same joint as each other. So that said, coffee is great, service is great BUT above all the baked products are unreal. I think I want their eclairs as my last wish on my death bed… Oh and least I forget, they are reasonably priced so no excuse to buy them for me on my death bed.
