This is my type of food. Simple Italian food cooked really well by Italian chefs. Small but perfect.

Amazing italian food, great atmosphere! Only started going to Mamma Mia’s in the last year, didn’t realise it was right beside our home… so thrilled we found it. With cute red checked table cloths and candlelights, really gives it that Italian feel and a real cosy atmosphere. Wine is especially nice too! Lovely staff and extremely helpful.

I’m so glad we stumbled across this cute little place for lunch. It’s quite small, so gets filled up quickly, but the service is equally quick. Even with a small wait we were able to order/eat/pay/get out within an hour. We were seated on their covered patio area, which had blankets on every chair. It was a warm enough day, so we didn’t need them, but thought it was a nice touch! I went with the Mamma Mia pizza — loaded with pancetta, potatoes and red onion. It was delicious. Clearly cooked fresh with a nice thin crust and a very good value at € 9, too. Everyone at the table was stuffed. Other tables were eating some pasta dishes which also looked really good, so I’ll see about trying one of those next time(I’m already torn on that, because the pizza was so tasty!).

Small and a bit out of the way but go find it! Pizzas are great and the mixed starter was huge and great. Thoroughly recommend!

Excellent Italian food. Very lucky to have this nearby, visited as a twosome, with friends and with the children, each visit has been excellent. Great sharing plates of salami and cheese for sharing with a glass of wine. Super pizza. Lovely vongale

What a great little spot, just off Mount Street. Small interior with an open kitchen, red checked table cloths for the small tables. They also have an outdoor area, which is covered and heated during the cool months. I was already impressed when I went in. And then the pizzas. They are all served on wooden blocks. These lovely thin-crusted(battuta) pizzas with very minimalist toppings. Excellent service, reasonable prices and fantastic pizza. I’ll be back.

Small place but great italian restaurant! We did not reserve but had the chance to take a two-person table on the small terrasse. It is wind-protected and heated. It was 6⁄11 and we were not cold. Bruschetta pomodori/mozza were delicious. Pizza was also quite good. We finished by a tiramisu ‘the best in Ireland’ according to the closest table. What is true is that it was super good. Service was very friendly.

What an absolutely astonishing place. When I saw the pizza serve at the table next to me I started to consider changing my filet. That was outstanding then. Cooked perfectly to my order, in company of delicious rosemary potatoes and a perfect red wine. Thank you and until tomorrow for me to try that pizza!

OMG the pizza here is outstanding. The street it’s on is a bit dingy and the place itself is modest and cosy. I had very nice gnocchi alla sorrentina and bruschetta al pommodoro(both well executed although the mozzarella in the gnocchi should really be smaller and meltier while the bruschetta should be on more authentic bread). Both were tasty and satisfyijng. What I am kicking myself about is that my friend’s pizza was out of this world. Superskinny, crunchy crust. Delightful toppings. A steal at only € 9 — I felt like I was robbing the owner when I paid for it. You would pay more money for an inferior pizza just about anywhere else in Dublin city. Definitely worth a detour and a pitstop. I’ll be back(for the pizza).

Outstanding Sardinian fare. Deliberately few choices on the menu. Only winners, everything fresh. Love it.

Discovered this place down a side street off Mount St at lunchtime. Tiny place, seats less than 20 indoors I reckon. In a hurry so ordered what turned out be really great seafood pasta, which was the special, and a pleasant glass of Pinot Grigio for less than € 20. Not cheap but definitely cheerful. I’ll be back if I can get in …
