I adore Mac make up but their staff on the other stand turns me off from going in there. They are so rude. I was in there with a few of my friends and I was considering getting some lipstick. But the way we were stared at and treated it really made me reconsider. I plan on going back there soon so I hope they’ve changed.

As a brand MAC makeup is good. Nice price too ;) but I don’t really buy much MAC stuff anymore as I couldn’t really justify spending that much on foundation. But today I was here to restock my concealer, something that doesn’t need restocking every few months. So I decided to check out the other shades of concealer to see if the shade I had been using was still the best suited for me. But the sales assistant was not helpful at all when I said I didn’t use MAC foundation, she couldn’t really assist me by looking at my face(which was wearing the foundation I use). I could continue to go on in detail about how poor the customer service is here on this occasion but I wont. MAC will continue to do well no matter how much is said about their sales staff.

Right. I have nothing against the actual brand as it’s possibly one of the best companies I’ve come up against. They were founded in the 80’s by makeup artists who found it difficult to find foundations to match dark skin tones, so for me it’s ideal as I’m not fond of the whole orange face with obvious line. Anyway, they’re also involved in HIV awareness with their Viva Glam range which in a word is AMAZING! ANYWAY, despite the quality of the makeup which is simply outstanding and made to last without being heavy or smelling funny(yes I’ve come across makeup that smells dodgy!) the staff there can be quite off putting. It’s game of chance when you go in. Some days you may get the lovely sales assistants or you may get the bitches. Today I got the bitches. The partner in crime and I stood for about 5−10minutes staring at the assistants and trying to wave them over as we were searching for glitter. Short/long story about our search for glitter. ANYWAY, these lovely girls were too busy applying each others makeup to pay any attention. Then when I politely said excuse me to get past and they moved a fraction of an inch, which the urged me to fling my bags in front of me shoving them out of the way, I made my way to the till and asked the girl there. Now I know you may be asking«Why didn’t you just go to the girl at the till at the start», well the reason is quite simple. If you work in M.A.C there are various jobs that don’t cross over. The girls who work the tills don’t handle the makeup nor apply makeup on the customers. Common courtesy goes a long way in my books and today the M.A.C girls showed none of it. Very disappointing.
