Little Apple Hairdressing

This is not a review for the hair dressing part of the business but for the beauty corner.
I booked a pedicure with Little Apple some time ago over the phone. The booking was easy and I got an appointment on short notice.
As soon as I got shown to the pedicure area, I knew I wasn’t gonna like it. It went downhill from there when the girl left to prepare the water. She arrived back with a medium sized bowl that she lined with a bin bag and filled with hot water. Ahem… seriously?!?
I soaked my feet in that water for a bit before she started shortening the nails and then applying polish. The selection of colours wasn’t great and the one I picked was a bit old so the application wasn’t great and turned out uneven, streaky and on my cuticules.
I think I paid 19Euro for that. There was no cuticle work (apart from getting polish on them) or heel treatment, the water didn’t even have any soap or similar in it. Very basic stuff that I could’ve done better at home to be honest.
Pity!

This place its a joke, I had an appointment with Kate, she took an hour to do a t-​bar, talks a lot, and she used this sticky meches for highlights, instead of foil, that were not placed properly-​when she finished it looked like I had a week regrowth already, and then to remove the sticky meches was a nightmare, your meant to use water to loosen it up, and then remove it, gently!, she was just pulling them out and then hiding the evidence so you would not see how much hair she pulled out… My scalp was so sore afterwards, i have fine hair, and someone to do that to the little hair that you have its disgraceful, not recommended, I would never go back, I was surprised that the salon was empty, no wonder…

I recently moved to Dublin, and my grown out pixie cut was looking pretty shabby. I’m nervous about new hairdressers, especially since my hair is at kind of an awkward stage. Found this place on Groupon, and so I called before buying it (I’ve bought groupons before only to find out they’re booked for the next 6 weeks). The woman on the phone was very friendly and booked me in a week. When I went to buy the groupon the mobile site was having trouble and I couldn’t purchase it, so I gave Little Apple a ring back and explained what happened. They were so nice, and said they’d just make a note next to my appt.
Day of the appt I showed up with an unforeseen time constraint, and they made sure to get me in and out in a timely manner without making me feel rushed. They offered me something to drink and we chatted throughout the appt; both women are absolutely lovely. So happy with the cut too– will definitely be back, thank you!!!

Had a great experience today in Little Apple.
Was consulted with by Kate who took the time to understand my requirements exactly and I was delighted with the results.
