Lidl Ireland in the past years improved the service offering more interesting, good quality and genuine international food to Ireland. Of course, they aren’t at 100% the one you can get in your own country(Italy) but I have to say that they get closed as much as possible. I appreciate the improvement done in the last 5 years. What makes the difference is the baking area, since couple years ago, Lidl introduced the baking area(bread, pastry) well, it was a great idea. I have to say that I liked it as I personally don’t like buying bread in pocket. What I like also is the ready and fresh soup stored near by the salad, but since last year, the one I loved buy h is gone. They didn’t replace it. I used to buy it adding some other fresh vegetables and making a fresh Italian minestrone. I had to buy fajita to replace the fresh cut vegetables soup, this disappointed me a bit as I finally got a product that I really loved. For the common stuff, the price didn’t change. They increased the price of all quality, genuine, international products introduced in the store. The frozen ones are included. This brought me to watch more how I shop, the quantity etc otherwise I spend easily 100 € when I could save something. I regularly shop at lidl, so I think the price are affordable overall, even though you have to check what, how many products u buy what do you buy etc. for the reasons said above. What I can add, the Mondays offered are out on Sunday, this shocked me the first time. I thought that want fair to communicate that from Monday you could find something and see on Sunday that they were out for sale… I got used so now I plan my shopping according to this too. One more thing, the cashier should do a training on how to approach customers. Some of them don’t say hello, don’t smile, are quite rude. I know who is nice and friendly, as I regularly shop there so I queue where I see there is the nicest one. If I can choose I do so. I think they should understand that even if it isn’t the best job on the world(I just guessing here) or if they wants to be something else or being somewhere else, as everyone in their job, the people who shop there needs a happy smile, feel comfortable. I know that it based on the nationality too(I will keep it fr me), but it it something that I saw and I don’t like. This is why I gave 3. Of course, when you shop to Lidl, because it is close to schools, you have to check the time. If you leave home while kids are going to School, it might take ages to arrive to lidl. This is something that can bother customers as well, but it something that you can work around getting out later or earlier when you need to shop at Lidl. The store should also provide a better security as it isn’t possible that while we shop we are annoyed by unmanned kids or teenagers who are there to skate or making noises… Parents should be advised to bring the kids and look after them being sure that they don’t disturb other customers. I am looking forward to Xmas chopping at Lidl. I am sure the service will improve too as they quality did.

Lidl Ireland in the last few years has improved itself for the quality of their products bringing into their shops more and more genuine International food. Prices are reasonably affordable and what you get doesn’t have to be a second class food. Of course, some(few) products are not as the same as the top class ones, but if you get used with the all range and prices, you can shop smart and save a considerable amount of money and still have quality. While other particular or branded products can be purchased in other supermarkets. On a weekly basis they sell also new no edible products. One week you can buy sports and fitness accessories, another week they have Car accessories, kitchen accessories, DIY and go on. If you keep up following their newsletter updates you can get almost everything during the year, even an air compressor, petrol chain saw or a sledge hammer :-) Since they introduced the bakery area, where you can get fresh bread and pastries at competitive prices, they gained themselves more customers. I like, love, I am crazy for their chocolate croissants, at 89 Cents and most of the time there are still warm. Wow. Despite I am making bread at home myself I sometimes buy their bread too. They have several options to choose from so you do not get bored. I love for example their German pretzel or they small cheese and bacon bread. For the«Buy me I am Irish» fans there are also ranges of Irish products like chicken, beef, cheddar, milk, etc. Shop is usually clean and tidy and surprisingly there is a lot of staff involved in running this place. There is a good size free parking court where I can estimate it can accommodate around 45 cars. There are also 3 car spots reserved for special needs. This Lidl is close to 1 school and a community center so there are some hours where it is flooded with students, so more chaos, screaming, talking aloud and more Q times at the til, no good time if you get nervous about it. So if you are going to shop here keep this in mind. In this case they should introduce a 10 items only till so people with less than 10 item can easily checkout there. Even though I am going to this store because it is handy for me, I have to say that it is a good store and they keep a good level of customer service, cleanliness, tidiness. I have seen other Lidl’s messier than this where you spend time like Indiana Jones for the Holy Grail, but here everything is in order. I am always focused on Italian product so I am happy with their range and they are almost produced by Italian firms in Italy so I cannot see a better choice :-) Defining myself with Lidl I would say that I am an happy customers.
