Went there on a Friday night for dinner(you have to book). First amazing thing the early bird is all night. Second thing: you can choose from the entire menu. I started with a pâté served with salad, homemade apple chutney and French toast. The pâté had the shape of an ice cream scoop which was a nice change. It was very good. My friend had the black pudding with Scottish egg on top, the sauce was amazing. Then I had the braised lamb shank served with mash potatoes, sautéed onions and mushrooms and honey roasted vegetables. I’m quite picky with meat and I could go on and on on how tender the lamb was. It was honestly perfectly cooked and services with a delicious sauce. As a dessert I had the homemade tiramisu — heaven! It’s 54 for 2 people — 2 dishes each and a glass of wine. Very cheap for the quality!

I have been here a couple of times, once for breakfast and twice for lunch. All experiences have been pleasant, the staff are really nice and attentive. The food is of a good consistent quality, and the coffee choice is vast. The actual café itself is slightly underwhelming, they squeeze in as many tables as possible into quite a small space! The menu is quite large, and I liked the specials menu also! The breakfast was really nice, I had the salmon and eggs, and my companions all had Irish breakfasts. I probably preferred the breakfast to the lunches, but the soup i had for lunch was really creamy and delicious.

Me and my family were delighted with the amazing food! My kids had a delicious Salmon sandwich and they loved it. Lovely family friendly place.

Great restaurant, the staff are so so friendly and attentive! My friend liked her chicken wings starter and burger main. I got the tagliatelle main which was gorgeous! I was slightly disappointed with the tiramisu dessert because it had way too much whipped cream for my taste. But I will definitely come back here!:)

Headed to Howard’s Way for post-voting breakfast this morning. The waiter was welcoming. There was a small problem with my breakfast, it was solved quickly and there was no charge for either of us. Sound.

4 of us had booked the table by the window for their all-night early bird menu. All I can say is that the food was excellent and the value unbeatable. I went for starter and main(and paid extra for desert) and all courses were very good. Included in the € 25 was a bottle of wine between two and tea and coffee. Very relaxed atmosphere(although some tables, not ours can be a bit close), great food, nice wine. Don’t think it can be beat

I have been here for breakfast now twice. Before I wrote a review I wanted to check the consistency. I had the pancakes bacon and scrambled egg dishes. The meals were very consistent and very good. Even the filter coffee is excellent. All inclusive breakfast is under € 10. I am definitely a fan of the all day breakfast. My only complaint is the very very cramped quarters

I have been here a few times for their wings(which are excellent) the morning after the night before. While going to a restaurant hung-over isn’t ideal, and may fog judgement, I decided I would go here for dinner on a lazy Saturday evening. The Rathgar premise offers an «early bird» menu for € 24.50 per person which includes a starter or dessert and a main, along with a bottle of house wine per couple. The«early bird» doesn’t seem to expire at any particular time — we arrived to the restaurant around 8pm. To start I went for the wings(obviously), my girlfriend went for the Caesar salad. The wings were excellent, better than usual. They were delicately battered which blossomed into a lovely crisp on the skin, and generously portioned. I was extremely happy. The Caesar salad was delightful. The baby gem lettuce was fresh and crisp, and again the portion was generous. The dressing was good, with a nice hit from the anchovies. For mains we got the slow braised shank of lamb, and the pan fried supreme of chicken. The lamb was falling off the bone. A little fatty in places, which I didn’t mind. The flavour was good and strong, making this a very moreish homely dish. The chicken was good too, well cooked, moist and juicy. The house wine served was also very nice. We were both very happy with our dinner experience. To boost, the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and attentive. For € 25 this was a pleasant surprise and great value. I would definitely recommend to others looking for an easy and enjoyable dinner out.

Just down the road from mg house, I. have been meaning to try this place for awhile. Well today was the day. Along with the usual café fare of fry brekkies(and there were a TON of different options of these too), sandwiches, and burgers, Howard’s Way offers a wide variety of healthy fare stuff too, including what I had for lunch today, a lovely baked chicken with pesto, mashed potatoes and a lovely side salad. I highly suggest it.

Went here for brunch this morning. Didn’t have the best selection in the world, but the food was decent and fairly good value. I had scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, both were fine. The homemade wheat bread that accompanied it was probably the best part of the meal. Overall, a pleasant and relaxing place that I would go back to.

I went there today for lunch. The reservationprocess went smooth, the table was ready when I arrived. within 2 mins I was able to order(glass of tabwater and the chicken-mushroom pie). the water came straight away, the pie within 10 — 12 mins. The pie was lovely. But the side-salat was the best though — the mustard dressing(homemade) was great! although the place was packed(and yes, not much space really), I was in and out within 30 mins. talk about fast and good service :) will go back some stage and try a salad…

Everybody likes their breakfast a bit different, whether it comes to the eggs(I like mine poached or scrambled) or the meats/puddings that come on the side. Howards Way recognises this and I’d say saves themselves the time of taking down people’s substitions(Can I have 2 sausages instead of a black pudding?) and have put a few varying Full Irish on their menu. They have the usual, a double bacon and a double sausage as well as offering a scrambled meal! I don’t think I’m a picky eater I just like what I like the way I like it! I was really excited to see the different options on the menu and so was my friend who’s eternally asking for more sausage. Whenever I’m suffering from a severe hangover I’m like a camel before a long desert hike, I could probably drink about 15 cups of varying beverages including coffee, water and orange juice. Thus I was VERY excited to see the bottomless coffee cup being served here, I won’t divulge how many cups I actually had, but let’s just say it was a lot.

No its not named after the dodgy 80’s nautical drama but so called after its owners the Howards. Taking a break from my usual Sunday fry up haunt of Café Conco in Terenure, not hungover for once, I tried out HW yesterday. I was impressed with the place, although its a small enough room it fits a good few people. As well as the full Irish in two sizes they do a scrambled egg special and as much tea and coffee as you can drink. Brunch is severed all day Sat & Sunday. They also do lunch and dinner as well as an early bird and they do wine, if your up for some hair of the dog. Have to say as well the staff were really friendly here too, I shall be returning.

This place is great for a casual meal. Its good for both breakfast and lunch and the food is really good. Its quite a small space but the good service and atmosphere make up for that. Not exactly a gourmet reataurant but perfect for a good cup of coffee.
