One of the nicest & priciest shops for Irish gifts. They carry name brands of clothing, pottery, linens, crystal & more. Sales staff is always helpful & friendly. Have picked up quite a few things here. Nice when they have their winter & summer sales.

Good gift store for Irish gifts which are better quality and less cheesy than Carrolls(which specializes in the Irish cheesy gifts). Alot more focus on crystal, wool, jewelry. I found some nicer gifts for those on my list for Christmas here. I would definitely recommend this place when looking for nice Irish origin gifts for friends and family abroad.

House of Ireland sells a wide variety of top-notch Irish design for the discerning gift-giver, such as linens, china, crystal(including Waterford), knits, crafts, and Newbridge(and other Irish-made) silver/jewelry. It’s a great place to find a birthday, wedding, or anniversary present or something perfect for that special someone. Given the quality of the merchandise(which rises well above the typical tourist trap), prices are competitive and sometimes better than similar shops(including along the same street) or department stores. Their customer service and sales are also wonderful, and they have a shop in Terminal 2 of Dublin Airport, if you have leftover euros to spend or last-minute shopping to accomplish. But, check carefully, not everything is made in Ireland(which is why I’m rating it a 4 — it is called House of IRELAND — otherwise, it’s a 5.). This includes some of the clothes upfront(all nice quality, but some of which are Italian-made) and the Barbour line(which is fantastic, but made in Scotland). I’ve also been to the House of Scotland in Edinburgh and found Irish knits, so maybe there is a reciprocal arrangement… If you don’t insist on an Irish source, this may not be a problem — it just depends on how wide a net you wish to cast to find your treasure.

What a pity about the name… but i guess it takes the«House of Fraiser» upper class thing and gives it a touristy feel. Dont expect this tourist shop to have the tacky leoprechaun doing a jig to some equally tacky«traditional» music… Nope this place sells the kind of thing your grandmother would love to put on her mantlepiece… glass, fine linen and jewelery comes to mind… men in suits. very proper all together!

House of Ireland is the kind of shop that makes me highly anxious because there’s so much stuff that could crumble in my clumsy paws. But if I keep my hands to myself, I usually enjoy the experience here. The merchandise is mostly high-end gifts, home décor, crystal, cutlery and china. Everything is really pretty, expensive and high-quality. This is the kind of place where you can buy fancy silver candlesticks for your mantle and a porcelain statue of dancing maidens for your library. The staff is also lovely. They didn’t treat me like I was some ragamuffin off the street, which I’ve found is how a lot of fancy shops treat young people. They let me browse without staring at me suspiciously the whole time. Major, major points there!

House of Ireland specialises in beautifully crafted and designed Irish crystal and silverware. The pieces are very impressive and it really is like buying a piece of art. Most of us couldn’t afford to totally deck our houses out with the stuff, but for a high-end gift, it might hit the spot. The items on sale are far removed from merchandise sold in other gift shops, not a ‘póg mo thón’ plastic apron in sight. This makes it popular with those tourists who look for some expensive authenticity Irish to bring home with them, and who have a few euros to spare. It’s a good place for a wedding present too, or a smaller gift if you can’t cough up the big bucks. It’s a slightly pretentious establishment(definitely the kind of place might refer to itself as an establishment, it’s not a common shop, don’t you know), which I suppose comes part and parcel with the business they attract. Inside is kind of airy, ethereal and peaceful — the perfect atmosphere in which to conduct some expensive Celtic purchasing.

Want to get some quality Irish gifts and souvenirs to take home and not a silly leprechaun hat? Well then this place is a great place to get lots of different types of Irish gifts under one roof. From Waterford Crystal, to Newbridge Silverware and jewellery, Belleek, and Jon Rocha and many other well known, high quality Irish brands and designers. This place has them all in a lovely large, tranquil, central shop. Prices are high, but so is the quality and service and they have tax back /duty free forms and an overseas shipping service.
