After my first review on here being negative I thought I’d write something nice. I’ve been going to Ho Ho since it first opened(a long time ago now). The food was fantastic when it first opened but it suffered a lull for a few years when they seemed to be buying in less quality ingredients. Thankfully, that has now changed and it is back to good standards. The delivery is always extremely quick, lightning in fact, and the drivers are very professional. they seem to know all addresses and your order will be understood quickly. If you want a change the honey roast pork dish is nice, but tonight I tried a Thai Green Curry(even though this is mainly a Chinese place). Not the best I ever had but tasty and the portions are generous.(Also, have a try of their Chicken satay starter which is skewered but don’t try it as a main, you’ll get pretty much the same amount of chicken.) The place is freezing during winter if you eat at at a table but this is primarily a take-out. If you’re hungry and need food quickly then this is the right place, right price… make sure if you’re spending over 15 euro or so to ask if there is any chance of some free prawn crackers, they do really large ones down to a tee… one thing to watch for, the delivery charge is different depending on your area. this is adjusted if you order online but if making a phone order… well about three times I got charged 3.50 when it should have been just 1.50(I’m just around the corner and too lazy) so if phoning just ask to confirm. I’m sure it was just a mistake or three…

Español: comida asiática para llevar; recién hecha y rica de verdad. Y además, a muy buen precio. La encargada es muy maja si le das conversación; si vas con cierta frecuencia sabrá a la perfección qué quieres. English: Take away Asian food; freshly cooked and really tasty. And also quite cheap. The woman in charge is really nice, just give her a little conversation; plus, if you’re a regular, she’ll remember what you prefer.

Finding reasonable takeout(under a tenner) that’s going to fill you up is always a challenge. With Indian you have to pay extra for rice or naan. A Thai dinner can cost the tenner or more. And are you really full afterwards? Depends on how hungry you are I guess. I went to Ho Ho’s last weekend, after over a year of NOT eating there. I got one of the chicken dishes, subbed my steamed for fried rice and had spring rolls. All for a tenner. And boy was I full. So, while it’s not gourmet by any standards, it is still quite yummy and great value for what you get. Totally happy I rekindled that relationship.

Ho Ho is my go to Chinese. I’ve never met a dish I didn’t like! The prices are just right and the delivery is always quick. I have to admit that my favourite starter isn’t very Chinese at all, but I assure you it’s very delicious, the chicken and cheese roll. It’s bits of diced chicken with cheese wrapped in a sort of pastry and fried. Like Quentin pointed out the sweet and sour is really good and comes with big chunks of pepper, onion and pineapples, a bit of veg in there to make you feel a bit healthier! I just had the chicken breast curry with chips and the curry was perfectly spiced and delicious. Oh and they’re open late so if you’re ever feeling peckish in the wee hours of the morning definitely check them out!

This is definitely a first for me… a Chinese takeaway where you can see into the kitchens — you observe as the clearly fresh veg in thrown in to woks and your own individual meal is cooked pretty much from scratch… then sadly put into a little plastic container… well, you cant have it all! I like this place, their sweet ans sour is really very good but I’m always a sucker for their crispy duck in plum sauce… be extra bold, have it with chips instead of rice… nice!
