Goodfello’s

one of these lazy days… we tried to order from PizzaHut and what a surprise they closed down in this same location…
After a couple of minutes, we decided to give them a go but we were in a serious disappointed by the quality of what we got delivered. The pizza was cold and chewy, and just didn’t taste very good…
Seriously now… How they can still be in business… I’m so mad they got rid of the local PizzaHut to put this… whatever you wanna call it…
Look elsewhere — there is better pizza available in the area for a similar price if not cheaper… I won’t be ordering from here again…

Ordered online, it was quick and easy. Fast delivery and they have a 2 for 1 sale on their website which is great. The Pizza itself is really not bad for the price. I recommend this place and will definitely use their online ordering again.

A few weeks ago we were walking back from the gym when it started pouring. We raced back home but there was a problem — we had nothing suitable to eat in our kitchen. Luckily there is a magical thing called pizza delivery. We had already tried Credo so decided to give another nearby place a try. Goodfello’s seemed to have a decent menu and was just down the road so we assumed they’d be speedy. We placed our pizza and starter order and an hour and 5 minutes later were presented with our kind of piping hot pizza. At this point we were starving so our standards were not especially high. As we dug in we realized something was missing. The dough was unremarkable, the cheese was overly greasy, the chicken was chewy and the sauce was barely there and extremely bland. I used to think that there was no such thing as bad pizza — just some places that served better pizza than others but I might be wrong. This will definitely not be a repeat.

When I got this in the door last week, the wesite was not available, but it does appear to be up and runnin today.
Menu wise, it’s got the usual things you’d expect from a pizza delivery menu.
Pizzas come in 4 sizes, 7, 9, 11.5(?) and 13 inch.
There is a range of set pizzas and of course a create your own option.
Prices are comparable with other local delivery services.
We eventually ordered a Spicy Sicillian (spicy pork, spicy sausage, jalepenos, onions and green peppers) @17.85 an a New York Delux (pepperoni, spicy sausage, beef, mushroom, onions) @ 17.85 and were told it would take about 30 minutes.
It did, almost to the minute.
As an added bonus, they do a Medium Twins Special (2 11.5 inch with 4 toppings for 20.95). We knew our order would not qualify due to the number of toppings on our set pizzas, but without asking, they charged us the special rate + 0.75 for 1 extra topping. Good for them.
They do not offer any crust options, and possibly because we have recently been ordering this & crispy whenever possible I found the crust a bit doughy. There was a reasonable amount of topping and for the most part it was enjoyable and not the worst take out pizza I have had by any means. The Siccilian had an odd flavour on it, I can’t quite place it, it wasn’t bad, just didn’t seem to sit right with the rest of the pizza.
Overall, a decent effort for a delivery pizza. It filled a very empty hole, and I may order again.
