Golden Discs

Staff are not helpful here.
They are very lazy don’t want to do their jobs.
Avoid this place.

Okay so it’s not as large and flashy as the British chains, but Golden Discs is still the cheapest and friendliest place to cds and dvds in the city. Large branches on Mary Street and in the Stephen’s Green shopping centre head the chain which is scattered around the suburbs and countryside.
Check out Mary Street for it’s dvd section and staff who really know their stuff.
Far friendlier than any of the chains, with staff who actually look like they are having a good time at work, it’s worth it for the amazing discounts on new releases and the massive monthly dvd sales. Plus the back catalogue is considerably cheaper than HMV or Tower.
Have a browse, dance to the music and chat to the staff!
