great location — contemporary looking, rather than traditional. Nice staff, excellent coffee, delicious cakes, all fresh, clean. friendly service. Probably more like Starbucks than Bewleys but a good place to meet or sit and read. Outdoor tables too — Clean, friends, smart(in a good way) definitely one of my tops on the list for a coffee in this area, full of locals and smart, savvy tourists. I’ve used it for informal business meetings, even a press interview, and also for cosy chats

My favourite coffee in all of Dublin — I love this place. The window seat provides some of the best people watching in the city. There’s nothing more satisfying than watching others hurry past, up and down trendy Dawson Street, busy shopping, busy working, busy busy… while I sit back and get busy daydreaming. And did I mention the coffee? Delicious. If window watching isn’t your thing, there is also cosy, comfy seating in the back. The staff are friendly and the eclectic music keeps it interesting and adds to the ambiance. I never feel rushed here and have on occasion whiled away a few hours watching the world go by. This will continue to my favourite coffee place in Dublin.

I was drawn here by the positive reviews and was not all that impressed with the coffee. Staff were polite and helpful, and the coffee wasn’t bad, but I’ve had better. My guess here is that the positive reviews are coming from people who prefer highly specialized coffee with lots of flavoring, cream, sugar, etc. For me, I much prefer coffee black and like it to stand up on it’s own as a good coffee. My advice — if you’re a black coffee drinker like myself look elsewhere. If you prefer highly specialized coffee with a ton of stuff mixed in, then give this a shot.

There is nothing to complain about this place. Coffee is very pretty :) Wanted to have the pancake but was told it’s only served before 12am…

Good place to catch up with friends. Comfortable sofas and nice fast staff. Good atmosphere and what’s most important it’s not too loud so you can have relaxed chat without anyone talking same time next table.

Loved this place. Good coffee, good pastries, super-comfortable. Bustling but not too noisy. Best restroom door anywhere.

Not really my sort of coffee. Its a good average but not particularly outstanding. They messed up my order but sorted me out, very nice about it and got v embarrassed. V nice staff. I got a croissant that was just fine. For me its a bit like a chain. The places I do rate are Clement & Pekoe, I like the coffee in Kaph but I found the staff a bit too hipster unfriendly the day I was there. 3FE is also ok, theres a great place in Citywest Business Campus(I know right!) D24 run by Polish folk, Bridge St Deli, their coffee is immense. I would have a Butlers as my basic occassionally, it does the job and is a smooth blend but thats it, functional coffee. Filter in Cork, Idaho and Liberty Grill I would also recommend.

I’m definitely a fan! Fixx is situated right near the highly active Dublin attractions, and you’re in luck, it’s just around the corner from a huge parking garage. It’s within a short walk to St. Stephens Green where you can catch one of the many Dublin-based tour buses. It’s located right on the corner of a active street, yet not so busy it becomes a hindrance to get to and from. If you’re hungry, check out the vast selections on their menu, as well as a cornucopia of drinks from hot lattes, iced lattes, mochas, and the ever popular hot coffee and tea. The portions of each meal are very generous. I do recommend you split one of their hearty sandwiches with a friend. I will definitely return to this location on my next trip to Dublin.

My absolute favorite place for a coffee… Huge amount of space inside, great big windows throughout the whole building, wonderfully low slung comfy couches and chairs down the back that let you slide into and forget about everything. But if stimulation is what you want the back wall is floor to ceiling loaded with books, all donations and a few newly bought in give this coffee house a unique niche in the market. It’s ran like a library where the customer is the librarian, just don’t forget to put it back when your finished and maybe add a book of your own.

After traveling through Spain, Portugal, and finally Ireland in a one week time span, I drank A LOT of coffee. Specifically, cappuccinos. Most were okay, nothing to write home(or Unilocal) about. My last full day and I finally happen upon Fixx. I guess you save the best for last, or so they say. This cappuccino rocked my world and that is saying a lot. Between FANTASTIC coffee, service with a smile, free wifi, and a great décor, Fixx is where it is at, Dublin!

Love this place. It’s really big so you don’t feel stuck to your neighbour like other coffee shops. Pre packed sambos are definitely way better than most plus they give you a nice little salad on the side. Costs € 6.75 not cheap but how many times have you paid that for something that tastes rotten. Will be back here.

I’ll keep this review short, as what I have to say pretty much matches what everyone else has already said. This is one of my fav go to places for meetings in town. It’s got great seeing, wifi, and fab coffee and food. They have a mix of both table and«couch-like» seating inside. So you have options based on your desired comfort level. It can get a little loud around lunch time during the week, so I usually try to head there around 2:30 or 3pm. The staff are friendly and never try to rush you out, which is nice. All in all, a great place to grab coffee and work or have a coffee meeting.

I met a friend here for coffee the other day before she headed back to the airport. She always wanted to try this place so in we went. The staff was very friendly and everyone had a smile on their face. They offer the usual selection of coffees, some cakes and sandwiches too. Unfortunately, their only milk alternative is soy milk so I had a black Americano and my friend had a green tea. She picked a cheesecake to go with that which was quite tasteless and too dense for our linking. So overall, with many really good coffee places around, I wouldn’t go back there again.

I stumbled upon this place thanks to Unilocal when I landed on a random Dublin street with 30 mins to spare and thought(shock horror) I was going to have to go to Starbucks. Luckily I had roaming on my phone and found this little gem just 2 mins up the road — it just goes to show it’s definitely worth having a quick search to see what’s in the local area as opposed to just accepting the status quo. Fairly big with around seating for 70 there’s the usual coffee shop drinks with me choosing the double macchiato and a couple of macaroons on the side(all came to 4.50 Euros) — I was tempted by some of the other tasty looking cakes but alas had no room after a giant burger for dinner. The music being played was fantastic(a few tracks off Beck’s Sea Change were heard by me) and the wifi was free and quick — perfect!

I saw many good reviews about Fixx so I decided to give it a try but wasn’t too impressed. It’s more expensive than any other coffee shop in Dublin(same price but way smaller cups), and I don’t think it tasted any better. The flat white was a bit weak as well despite its small size. The interior is nice and they have good seating areas, but with with that price I would prefer to go to Costa next door. It’s also not very clean inside. The one think that sickened me was the toilets. They stank and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the flushes were broken on both leaving them clogged up and basically unusable. Pure disgusting. It’s also camouflaged into the wall paper so I had to ask where it was.

I only went once so far and only for a cappuccino but that one was excellent — and thanks to the decoration almost too precious to drink. I loved the atmosphere where you had as much time as you wanted to have your coffee on very comfortable seats and of course having all the books around you made you feel at home. The food looked lovely but it wasn’t the time for me to eat something but I’ll definitely try some next time. And almost most importantly: lovely staff. There was a couple sitting at the next table where she had a coffee from here but her partner had a take away coffee in a plain white cup with him. At some stage one of the staff came over to them with their own take away cups and saying something along the lines of «I hope you don’t mind» and with a big grin in the face put his cup around that white cup. A very friendly and nicely subtle way to handle that a guest didn’t get his coffee on the premises. It made the couple and us smile.
