Probably, they have best food but it doesnt count when the boss is very abusive and a biggest asshole, man doesnt even know how to greet people, there are several restaurants who provide best services #counterculture isnt the one at all.

Excellent lunch place inside the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre, which is in itself a little gem of a shopping mall(see my review elsewhere on Unilocal). Located in the center food court, on the top«balcony», this place is surprisingly large. There’s seating along the entire balcony, with both bar stool seats and tables. Service is very friendly and helpful, choices abound, and the food I had was excellent. I opted for the veggie wrap with goat’s cheese and avocado. Turns out, it comes with a side of veggie soup, which was one of the best I’ve had in a long time(and Ireland does soup well!). The wrap itself was crunchy fresh and very tasty. I had a spinach and apple juice with it, which was equally delicious. I ended my meal with an espresso, which had just the right degree of toasted flavour, creaminess, and acidity. And it all came down to less than € 18! Definitely a new favourite place of mine, and I’m sure I’ll be back next time I’m in Dublin. There’s free wifi as well, password is counterculturedub.

I read about counter culture online a couple days ago, about how they fit into the clean eating and healthy living trend… I really wanted to try it as I’m being on a November ‘trying to be good’ diet(all in preperation so I can go loose during December) On saturday, a very wet, very rainy saturday, we were in need of some warm comfort food, we walked passed the powerscourt and an alarm rang inside my head *counter culture alert!* It’s located on the topfloor, very bright, very airy. The brunch/lunch menu mostly has dishes from between 11 – 15 euro. They have everything from very meaty dishes, to eggy, to completely vegan. All I wanted was a bowl of soup to warm me up, soup of the day parsnip… meh…not my favourite, but still went for it. I wasn’t prepared for the huge bowl of super tastyness that came out(it was full of ‘bits’ like seeds, and herbs etc as well!) I daresay it was one of the best soups I had all year. While I was enjoying this bowl of goodness, my friends were oohing and Aahing and drooling over their fishpie(topped with sweet potato mash) and sweet potato fries. I also had a yummie healthy, luminous green juice. Only one star off, as I only got one slice of bread, and when I asked for more they charged me 1,50 extra. Which I don’t mind at all paying for, but they should mention it beforehand.

Great food at Powerscourt Centre. We came here for brunch by accident, actually. My husband was looking for a table at the Pepper Pot, but my 3-year-old wanted to keep climbing the stairs… and we found plenty of empty tables at Counter Culture. I can’t understand why nobody was up here, unless they just haven’t gotten word yet. The kids shared a lovely porridge with fruit and honey(extra-good honey, I might add). I had the house-smoked salmon and egg scramble, which came with a side salad. My husband had the Olympia salad, which also had plenty of the house-smoked salmon. Everything was very fresh and very yummy. The view from the upper level at Powerscourt is quite enjoyable, and you also have the feeling of eating at a sidewalk café while at the same time staying out of the actual weather(a big plus in Dublin)! The only reason I can’t give Counter Culture 5 stars is that I had a really bitter espresso :(I was so disappointed, because there are other great cafes in the neighborhood, and I feel like I wasted my caffeine fix here. I would definitely return for the food, though, and next time I’d like to try one of the fresh juices.

Counterculture is a relatively new restaurant in the 2nd floor of the Powerscourt centre just off Grafton Street. The food is of excellent quality, organic where possible, quite inventive and they cater well for paleo or gluten free diets. Highly recommended for brunch/lunch. The sweet potato fries are amazing!

I loved Counter Culture! Almost everything on the menu was really healthy and I was happy to see fish on the menu too! I ordered an Olympus Salad which had salmon it it and a small side soup, both of which tasted really great! The portions were very decent as well and the soup was slightly thick with a nice flavouring to it. They also have a raw soup available in addition to healthy blended juices. My friend ordered the Rhubarb cake and sweet potato fries, both of which according to her were lovely. They also do breakfast, and looking at the menu it seems pretty good! They cater well for vegetarians/vegans too. The café itself is in a nice location on the 2nd floor of Powerscort with plenty of seats with the sun shining in. The staff were very friendly and the girl who was serving us checked to see if everything was alright, which was nice. The food came pretty quick too! Prices are around € 10 – 15 euro for a main dish and € 2.50 for sides. Overall, a nice variety of healthy foods, juices and desserts, friendly staff and a nice location.

Counter Culture is a new-ish café on the top floor of Powerscourt Townhouse. The place was pretty empty circa 1:30pm on Saturday, but the staff were all really welcoming and the menu looked tasty, so I stayed. It’s a bit overpriced with dishes ranging from approx € 10-€ 15 for lunch, but the view overlooking Powerscourt made for a nice ambience. I am trying my damnedest to kick off my wedding diet, so I settled on the house smoked salmon and watermelon salad. The salmon salad was a little blah to be honest, but they served the watermelon topped with balsamic vinegar which was just delightful. I was skeptical that it would be filling enough since they don’t serve it with bread, but I was satisfied when I finished. It’s topped with caramelised onions and cherry tomatoes, so it’s a nice unique balance of flavours. I’d go back — they also serve brunch on a Saturday’s.
