Not sure it gets better than this! I would live here, if I could. The perfect ambiance, such a cozy place. There’s a fireplace and big comfy chairs for you to enjoy while you sip some amazing wine. The outdoor seating area is nice too, even in winter, they have lots of heaters and blankets. I think one of the best parts is being able to choose your wine upstairs, and bring it with your downstairs to the Cavern. Sometimes a wine list with nothing but the vineyard name and country isn’t enough to help you choose, so having the entire shop upstairs at your disposal is the absolute best. Take your time browsing, then head downstairs for a cozy seat and some tasty food. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll have the bacon jam and goats cheese bread board! It’s our go-to when we’re having a bottle of red wine, and it’s just incredible. Staff are very nice and attentive, service is quick even when the place is busy. Always very happy with everything we have here, and are always anxious to come back. Perfect for a chill night out with friends, or a date night. Any weekend that includes the Cavern is sure it be a great one!

I’m quickly falling in love with this wine bar. You can enter from Baggot Wines where you can buy a nice bottle and bring it down to Cavern with you. Corkage is € 5 per bottle. I’ve mostly been here during the week and it’s been busy every time. Not to the point where you can’t enjoy a chat and your wine but just enough to creat the perfect atmosphere. Even with the off-licence above you have a fantastic selection of wines to choose from here and the staff are really knowledgable about the wines and always more than willing to help choose a nice bottle. The food selection is just perfect too. They have a lot of cheese and meat boards to choose from. If you tell them you’d like either a cheese or meat board they can recommend nice wines to boot. It’s not just wine by the bottle. They also sell by the glass. I think the average price is around € 7 for a glass. You can choose to sit in or sit out in there courtyard. Both are excellent. Can get a little smoky in the courtyard at times but it’s still awesome to sit out there. There are heaters and blankets for when it gets a little chilly out.

Tried this place on Saturday night for the first time and I have to say it was a fabulous experience! We had some yummy antipasti and a meat and cheese board to accompany our prosecco which was quickly followed by some wine! The boys got some craft beers in Baggot st wines above Cavern which was byob! The staff were great and the atmosphere was lovely. Looking forward to coming back to try out the rest of the menu soon!

Stopped in here after the beer and cider festival at the RDS. We didn’t have food just had glasses of wine. I chose a Viognier — decent glass size. The staff are so so nice and were v attentive! Brilliant vibe in a great space. You can also buy wine from Baggot Street wines and they charge corkage — I think it’s € 5 for wine. They brought out some popcorn with Parmesan, rosemary and sea salt. They were so moreish! It deserves a five for service alone but I will reserve that for another visit as will definitely be back for more wine and food!

You might think you were in NYC as the décor and feel certainly suggests. They have done a great job as it’s bright spacious and the comfortable with a scattering of couches and cushions. The wines are well priced and a great selection from the set menu or get a bottle from upstairs and pay corkage. The staff are very friendly and extremely attentive. We didn’t try the food but we will be back at which point a 5 stars may well be in order.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, Awesome, Awesome… Oh god, it’s just great! As another reviewer put it, I want so dearly to keep this place a secret and keep it all to myself but I just can’t. This spot is a true gem to have popped up on Baggot Street and boy am I glad I just moved into the area, in fact 1 min walk(whoop). Firmly my favourite place to go for a drink on Baggot Street, this place has a great vibe to it making it a super cool and comfy place to hang out with the hubby and/or even round up the mates for an evening of wine and chit-chat! They sell wines, teas and coffees only but they offer a great BYO from Baggot Street Wines above, just hold onto your receipt and pop on down, grab a seat and with corkage for € 5 per bottle of wine or beers at € 1, you get fresh glasses, wine coolers as needed and nibbles on your table. Great value… Plus if past 10pm and the off license is closed, you are welcome to order from their menu with a great selection of wines by the glass and the bottles being great value too! The food menu offers very casual dining with cheese and meat plates being most popular, there are other options, e.g. oysters plus they run daily specials so they are also worth a look :-) Had the mixed cheese and meat board last night and it was fantastic, served with breads to the side which was unexpected! Everything on the plate was really top notch and super filling, at € 20 it was a steal! I had their sweet treat which was called Delish Melish Trio, they had me at the name… And I firmly fell in love on tasting it! Great work guys, really love this place and it will feature with me regularly. They have live music on Fri/Sat evenings but even without, their playlists are really fitting for this place, nice chilled out relaxing, mellow music… Shazam’d a few to get onto my playlists at home ;-) There is indoor seating, mixture of tables or sofa’s to pick from and outdoors, the same… A selection of tables plus some cosy sofa’s plus with cushions and throws on offer, you can really get as cosy as in this little beaut.

Great off licence with very knowledgeable and helpful staff. A good variety of craft beer and wine. I haven’t been downstairs yet, but will be back there!

A stunning addition to the already well established«Baggot Street Wines», once you have decided an your choice of wine, mine was expertly recommended by a very helpfull member staff, or maybe go for one of there many craft beers. Make your way downstairs to the wonderfully bright outdoor area, which offers several Chesterfield couches and also some modern high tables for small parties or larger low level tables for a bigger groups. The wine you buy upstairs is opened for you for the nominal fee of 5 euro and also decanted. While you wait for your wine to breath and really come to life, choose from the small but passionately selected charcuterie, local and international cheeses and fresh artisan bread. Live Jazz, fading from Rnb to twists on modern classics adds to the whole experience, Sax and a simple guitar, much like The Cavern, Simple and Classic.

Super new wine bar on Baggot street. Part of the Baggot Street Wine shop upstairs, corkage of 5 euro on any byob, not sure if that covers Magnums, will endeavour to find out. Very nice charcuterie and cheese plates, good value, nice staff, very comfortable. Great addition to the area

Let’s talk about those heated tables! This little secret wine cave is located right underneath Baggot Street Wines(access from the door to the right of the off-licence or through the wine store itself) and has a great terrace nestled among Dublin’s stone Georgian terraces — this is the kind of view that makes outdoor terraces in Dublin so beautiful. Back to the heaters — the central stand of the outdoor tables have an inbuilt heater ensuring your legs and crotch are nice and toasty all evening. Such a genius idea and the perfect addition to an outdoor space in Ireland. I was there on a Thursday night for after work drinks and they had a classical guitarist playing for about an hour, maybe longer, out on the terrace. I heard that it’s only open about a week but on the night we visited it was rammed — this won’t stay a secret for long! Staff are among the friendliest I’ve ever come across, props to the General Manager Chantalle for leading a great team. There’s a couple that are still training on their wine knowledge but it’s only been open a week so it’s completely understandable. The beauty of this place is that you can buy your bottle of wine upstairs at Baggot Street Wines(phenomenon spot for well priced wine in its own rite) and then enjoy it in Cavern with a € 5 corkage added to your bill. Alternatively you can order from the decent wine list they have themselves but the choice is so much bigger in the store. Nibbles are Parmesan popcorn — one of my favourites — throw in some truffle popcorn and you won’t be able to keep me away from this place. We had a charcuterie board between us. It was fine — not too inspiring(it’s a charcuterie board) with good quality meats. I had a look over the rest of the menu which looked ok. I can’t help but think they could have taken so much more of a creative license with the food though, but that’s a minor point. Cavern is all about the vino and the setting — looking forward to my next visit!

What a find! This is definitely going to be my new local, and I don’t even live near the place! This is how it works: You walk into the Baggot street wines off license. Buy a botlle. And walk downstairs. There’s about 40 seats inside, and they have quite a large heated courtyard outside. Corkage is 5 euro. They also have a small menu, which is very reasonably priced. Salads, sharing boards, a few mains and breads and dips. We ordered two bread and dips. One came with lemon hummus, pesto and beetroot tzatziki and the other one with oil/balsamic, olives and crushed nuts. And plenty of fresh brown/white bread. 6 euro each only and absolutely yummie! This place hasn’t been open long, but word has already gone out. I wish I could keep it a secret, but it’s too good not to share!
