Looking more like an electonics store than a pawn shop, Cash Converters in Moore Street Mall is a stop-​off for locals in need of a short loan (no credit check, no question) or to shed some belongings for cash.
And it’s depressing. And pricey. And I can’t get over the thought of buying something that someone else may not have been 100% ready to part with.
I’ll stick to second hand shopping with Oxfam and Gorta,

Cash Convereters seems to be a chain of pawn of junk shops… but as it is a chain the word junk obviously doesn’t apply.
The shop is kept in incredibly neat and tidy condition and everything is very clearly marked.
I pop in a lot to check on the DVD section which is very well stocked and offers a great deal at 5 for 20 euro and seems to be in constant rotation.
But the shop also has a great range of electronic goods, TV’s consoles cameras, equipment… all at great prices. Its also probably a good place to sell on unwanted stuff (though I must say I have never sold anything there)
