The best thing about this place is that it actually has some reasonably healthy options that aren’t too expensive. They have health bars and fruit salads and smoothies as well as all the usual sandwiches and treats. It’s no luxury place and doesn’t have any defining character to set it apart but it’s grand for grabbing a snack on the way to the train that isn’t Supermac’s. I had some of the potato and leek soup which was delicious, really thick and tasty.

After the second time visit this place and the second time getting bad service and an inedible sandwich. I wouldn’t bother with this place, in the future I’ll save my money for the snack cart in the train.

Surprisingly fresh and tasty for prepacked sandwiches. I was rushing to get a train, and rushing to grab something to eat before it pulled out of the platform. Service was quick and when I got on the train I was surprised to unpack something edible and appetising — who knew

Got a deal here of a scone and an Americano for 2.95EUR, I was surprised as this is cheaper than what I pay in the week at my morning coffee house for the exact same thing. I do agree the staff can be very abrupt, but they do work a queue quickly. A-OK

I have to say that I enjoyed the food I got here. The sandwiches are freshly made and there’s a good selection if you get there early enough in the day. I got a nice brown bread salad sandwich there recently and I’m reliably informed that the quiche is very tasty. There’s a fairly wide cake selection too, though I haven’t tried any yet. Prices are standard, but they have combo deals that aren’t always advertised, so ask about them if you’re interesting in a soup and sandwich type lunch. I have noticed that the staff can be a bit sharp and snappy, which is a pity because I don’t mind the place itself. Perhaps they’re just raging that everyone else is coming or going and they’re stuck in Heuston…

Agree with Kate on this one. My main issue is the price, airport prices which again is to be expected in an airport as once you go through security you pretty much have no other options. But this is a train station that is within walking distance of other cafes and delis. Far too expensive for the produce, it irks me when I see tourists in there. Tourists that have just landed in the city or are about to head out to the country, it’s such a bad impression for them to start with or end with with regards to Dublin. Tip here is make your own sandwich or else buy what you need for your train journey ahead of time, no one likes to be ripped off by people who frown a lot.

Ugh I hate this place. Everything is packaged, overpriced and the staff are SORUDE!!! Now I totally get that Heuston Station must be a stressful place to work — people running for trains, almost missing trains, and angry ones who have missed trains, but this does not give the staff an excuse to be rude. Café Togo is basically a sandwich bar — there are pre-made sandwiches, wraps and rolls and then bakery goods like scones, éclairs, muffins etc. They also have a hot counter where they serve sausage rolls, pies and other fattening things. I try to avoid going here at all costs, but sometimes you have no option as you’re in a rush.
