The Lighthouse B&B

This place is great. Dennis and Mary are great hosts. Their Bed & Breakfast is beautiful and always have a full house. We stayed here two nights and loved it. The breakfast is wonderful, very good cooks. They are helpful and very informative of what to check out in Dingle as well as the rest of Ireland.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this B&B/guest house!
So we get to Dingle and need a place to lay our heads! Since we were there during the off season we didn’t bother to make reservations ahead of time during our trip and this time was NO DIFFERENT!
We are driving around Dingle and spot this butter yellow house sitting just on the town’s edge! We knew from experience this was most likely a B&B! We drove up, parked, hopped out and knocked on the door! The house was completely EMPTY! ALL ROOMS WERE FREE FOR US to choose! It was slightly out of our price range but since it was the slow season we were able to get a discount making it perfect for us!
We stayed in the room with the purple curtains that looked out onto the Dingle Bay and the town. IT WAS PERFECT! I decided to take a shower and wash off some of the Ireland road funk from sitting for hours on end in a car! I NEEDED FRESH CLEAN WATER TO HIT MY BODY! The WATER WAS NICE AND HOT and the best thing about these B&B’s is they provide toiletries like soap, shampoo, and conditioner and lotion! And they use the nice stuff not that cheap crappy stuff that dries out your skin and hair!
Now that I was «So fresh and so clean, clean» I was off to noise around the house! IT WAS SUPER QUIET, especially since it sits just outside the little town. Probably about a 5 or 10 min stroll. The beds were SUPER COMFY and once it came time to sleep I HAD NO PROBLEM SLEEP in a strange bed! You could hear the waves lapping up on the shore in the night! SOOOO GREAT!
I think the house had a total of 6 rooms. Sort of a mini mansion, because the owners quarters (room and living spaces) were completely separate from the guest. ALL the rooms WERE A NICE SIZE and NOT CRAMP! The bathrooms for guest were CLEAN AND NICE! NO GRUBBY CORNERS and they provided NICE fluffy TOWELS as well!
After a night of BAR HOPPING but VOID of any HANGOVER… THANK GOODNESS! We work up to smell of bacon and eggs! A PERFECT BREAKFAST to start our day! It also came with a yucky tomato… but it is not worth mentioning since I didn’t eat it because I HATE TOMATO’S! They SUCK! Nah, nah-​née, nah-​nah! The breakfast WAS NICE AND HOT! It also came with toast, butter, jelly, juice, coffee and water! MORE THAN enough for me! I’m NOT sure what type of bacon they served BUT IT WAS SLAMMIIIIINNNN! I mean when doesn’t bacon taste good? AND THEY DIDN’T OVER or UNDER COOK IT!
It could be that because we were the only guest we got a little extra special treatment but I doubt it! After staying in well over 20 plus B&B during my holiday you began to be able to tell the good from the bad and the GREAT B&B’s! This was a GREAT B&B! They really took pride in seating up the rooms to make sure you are comfortable! After riding for hours every day in a car with minor stops here and there I NEEDED and WANTED a nice place to sleep without having to worry about being attacked by varmints in the middle of the night! I didn’t even here there dog bark the entire time I was there! I almost forgot they had a dog! Unlike my two little ones that will go outside and bark at their shadow and the wind at times! Like Saturday mornings when I get to sleep in… but NOT if they have anything to say about it!
If you’re in and around DINGLE STAY HERE! THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST B&B STAYS EVVVAAA! I would totally stay here again!
