Uncle Pete’s Pizza

My husband and I were entirely too tired to leave our hotel on our second night in Cork and decided to order takeaway from Uncle Pete’s Pizza.
Best decision ever!
I ordered a personal Hawaiian pizza and upon the first bite, I thought, «Uh oh. This pizza needs more sauce.» Then I kept eating and sauce was not an issue. It was very flavorful and I want to eat the same pizza for lunch tomorrow!
I also ordered the minestrone and while it was piping hot upon arrival, it was more-​or-​less tasteless. The soup needed salt and needed to stew a bit longer as the veggies were a bit harder than they should be. The soup was served with a piece of ciabatta bread which was larger than a 6″ sub at Subway. In fact, the length of the bread was equal to the diameter of my 7″ pizza!
My husband ordered the pepperoni plus calzone and it was very large and he said that overall it was good but needed to be baked for a couple more minutes.
One thing to note is that the delivery man had hotel reception ring our room upon arrival. This is nice to note because we were left under the impression that we would have to head down to the hotel lobby 30 minutes after placing our order to wait for the delivery.
I think the key with Uncle Pete’s is to stick to their pizzas and you will do no wrong.
