Pretty nice restaurant tucked away behind the main streets of Cork. My family was craving Italian food after spending some time in Ireland so this was a good sight.

Good food, prompt courteous service but…
The atmosphere was seriously lacking, more than expected when reading previous reviews. It felt like a sandwich shop, maybe a place for a bagel and a cup of coffee.
They had a brief wine list but only two wines listed were available.
They had live music the night we were there. While the performer wasn’t bad his periodic heckling of the clientele was distracting and uncomfortable. The guy was bat shit crazy performing neither Italian or Irish music, but American soft hits of the late 70’s. What the hell?
Our food was fresh and really good though, the place has potential.

Don’t let looks deceive you about this one. The outside could do with a bit of paint and the inside could be brightened up a little but this is a wonderfully intimate little restaurant. I had something with brocoli and sausage in it and it was surprisingly good.
The wait staff are all really nice and very attentive. Would definitely recommend this for a cozy meal :)

The food… oh, the food. For one, there’s loads of it. And not in that «plate the size of a satellite dish, none of it tasty» way either, the selection is simply immense. There’s a nice variation between tasty takes on Italian restaurant standards and interesting combinations of unfamiliar elements. The wine selection and desserts are great too.
The service was friendly and attentive, and the regular customers certainly got a very warm reception.
One slight problem is that the restaurant itself does not reflect the excellent food. Not asking for a lightshow, just a bit of spit-​and-​polish.

Very nice, intimate and warm, great food. Only been once so can’t fully vouch for it but it has a pretty good reputation as well. Would go again and consider it comparable to Ristorante Rossini but more personable.
