Good food done right! breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are all spot on, a taste of local fare and always consistent, can be a bit busy in the mornings but the queue is worth the wait!

Have been dying to try for a long time and as we were home for the weekend it was a perfect opportunity. After speaking to a couple of regulars beforehand we were advised that Saturday mornings are busy and you must expect to queue. Thankfully when we arrived it was dry and we waited for a half hour but it was well worth the wait. The menu was fantastic especially as they could adapt the menu to be gluten free a plus for me. I opted for the special known as «A Sparkling Start» which is € 13.50 for a glass of bubbles, eggs benedict or florentine and a pot of tea. I opted for the eggs benedict which was absolutely delicious I did have some food envy of my friend who went for the Mediterranean breakfast. Excellent food and great service cannot wait for my next trip!

Love coming here, a friendly atmosphere and good food. Though the wild bore burger i had on my last visit was a little on the dry side, it won’t stop me coming back.

The food is good here but the lines to get in are always long, especially on a Saturday morning. For me the food is not good enough to have to wait so long for so I normally just give this place a skip. There are plenty of establishments close by that have better food and less waiting times.

The food is always unreal from this place, I’m a sucker for a good burger and I have tried every place in cork and nowhere even comes close to this place, the eggs benidict is unreal too, always cooked to perfection, I would highly recommend

Great cheesecake with berries. Plan to wait a bit for your food(I’m from California) but worth it.

Great food, great atmosphere, and great service. I had the special, huevos benedict, which was the best eggs benedict of my trip to both Ireland and London. Definitely recommend this restaurant for breakfast or brunch!

Fantastic meal! And felt totally comfortable to eat it alone. Have been to Cork before but never get the chance to stop in. Being back on business I had to stop by– which was, of course, the right decision. Fantastic staff, delicious meal, and an atmosphere that was just what the doctor ordered. Ordered the Tempeh Burger with avocado on the side and it was delish! Washed down the meal with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and even treated myself to a piece of New York Cheesecake topped with mixed berry compote and a cup of tea. All items to die for. Can’t wait to come back!

So far the best place in town for breakfast ! French toasts and eggs Benedict are simply delicious. Come as early as possible to avoid the long queue

Liberty Grill is one of my favorite restaurants in Cork. Just off an overnight flight with a busy week on tap and the possibility of a team member joining, I wanted light, healthy and from the sea. I landed on a selection of small plates to get many flavored without getting too full. I ordered a refreshing pomegranate soda and began with the chowder. The New England style chowder was not like back home in New England, but it was a nice fish chowder, despite the mealy texture from the deconstituted potatoes. The fresh irish soda bread and butter were brilliant. Next up we’re the mushroom bruschetta and pomegranate kale salad. The bruschetta had a brilliant maple syrup and balsamic reduction. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked. There was a disappointing blanket of rocket/arugula on top. I told the waitress I wasn’t a fan of arugula, but she must not have put it together when I ordered these other dishes. And she was very nice, which is important. I ended up quite full without eating the arugula. The pomegranate and kale salad also had walnuts and wild rice. A wonderful combination of textures and flavors in the mouth. There was also a very rich olive oil in a tiny carafe. Perfect. The only drawback was there was far more rocket than kale! For rocket lovers, a sublime dish. I finished with a palette cleansing ginger beer and left quite satisfied.

Came her on the recommendation of a friend and it didn’t disapoint. Firstly the menu here is great, there’s something for everyone. I had the mushroom bruchetta to start, boyfriend had the crab and potatoes cakes. We were both very pleased wirh our choices as we were with our mains, the San Fran salad for me and the classic burger for him! For dessert we shared some soy ice creams. The restaurant was very busy but the staff were excellent, very friendly and attentive. Well worth making a reservation and having dinner here if you find yourself in Cork.

Liberty Grill was recommended to us by our b&b owners in Cork, and we stopped in on a recent(very busy) Saturday night when we were turned away from a few other places in town. I put my name on the list and was told to return in 30 minutes, at which point we were promptly seated. Liberty Grill is hip and bright, with an interesting and creative menu. We were famished by the time we sat down, so we ordered a few appetizers as well as our main courses, all of which were great. The avocado toasts were a standout starter, and I really enjoyed the rib-eye steak with fries as my main. The food was nicely presented and prepared, and the portions are more than generous. Service was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is bright and cheerful, and presents an affordable price point for being in the center of Cork. It’s a little off the beaten path from the Oliver Plunkett Street area where most of the restaurants seem to be, but worth a short walk for an enjoyable meal!

Try crab cake as starter, nicely spiced, worth it. I tested the fish of the day as main, was average(a bit overcooked), I should had stick with the fiah&chips. Desserts seems good, my cheesecake was awesome. Nice staff, ~35 € for a 3 courses and drink.

Colleague and I choose the falafel burger served on pita bread, and the fish(haddock) and chips with side salad. See pics. Recommended by hotel concierge. And I agree. Small place. If you blink, you might miss it. And popular with local diners. Fresh. Tasty. Would return. Good value at half the price of hotel food. Open for breakfast(all day), lunch and dinner. Small Gripes: — Only bottled beers; no beers on draft — No Wi-Fi

Somewhat hilariously, during our stay in Cork, Ireland, my boyfriend and I decided to have a date night. Cork is apparently quite the foodie city, so we had some trouble choosing a place, but ended up at the Liberty Grill(which is the hilarious part, considering we went all the way from DC, where every other restaurant is named Liberty Something, haha). They were packed, which was a good sign, though the waiter wasn’t sure if he’d be able to seat us at first without a reservation. Thankfully, the odds seemed to be in our favor, and he sat us in a cozy little booth without much waiting. We shared the crab and potato cakes to start, which was basically a beautifully plated crab cake app with a little bit of a kick in the sauce. Then for my main course I ordered the lamb burger and my boyfriend got the sirloin. The lamb burger was very flavorful, done up with Mediterranean flavors and a good sampling. There was a mix-up about my side(I asked for roasted potatoes, it came with fries, or maybe vice versa) so they very kindly brought out the correct side AND let me keep the first one. MOARPOTATOES!(Hey, if not in Ireland, then where?) All in all, a very delightful dining experience! I’d definitely recommend it if you’re traveling to Cork. I guess it’s common decency to make reservations though, so bear that in mind!

I’m always fooled by the«crab sandwich» on Irish menus. In the states that implies a hot sandwich almost exclusively containing a crab cake. Here, on the other hand, it basically means«crab salad» with rocket on toast. Still tasty, but it doesn’t stop the initial«WTF!?» each time my plate arrives. Oh, and Liberty Grill… it rocks. Love the atmosphere, and the food is fresh and tasty without being too pricey.
