Lovely B&B(more like a small hotel really) in Clifden. Very reasonable, yummy full Irish breakfast and the room we had was large, clean and comfortable. The owners are very personable.

Yay! I am the first to review. I stayed at the Dun Ri for 10 days on a short term study abroad trip with DePaul. The owners couldnt have been more accomodating to our taking over the guest house. On the last day our bus came at 6 am to pick us up. Michael King and his wife(owners) got up with us to make us breakfast,. The room charge comes with a full Irish breakfast each morning but service normally starts at 8 or 9. They also made us sandwiches and Irish coffee on the last afternoon we were there. Lunch is not part of the room rate nor is it offered, The rooms are small and not fancy, The bathtubs and showers are very narrow and tiny. If youre anything over 150 pounds, watch out and get ready to spill lots of water ont he floor because there are no shower curtain liners so you have a cloth shower curtain which if you lay it on the inside of the tub it ends up sticking to you. I went to Dublin after Clifden and the shower was super small there too so I am thinking this is a European thing and shouldnt be held against the Dun Ri. my other complaint is that the beds were a little harder than I am used to. The location is OK with a short walk under 5 minutes to everything the town has to offer on one of it’s 3 main streets. The food is good and there is a lot to choose from. Bridget who served us breakfast everyday was great. She let us mix and match our food options. Do not try and order egg whites! I dont think they beleive in wasting food and thats cool.
