Took a trip down memory lane and decided to go watch Ireland play Wales in the rugby in Myos an old haunt of mine. Expecting the pub to be pretty busy, as they had a large screen in the lounge, it was disappointing to see such a poor turn out. Sadly, I think I know why. The lunch menu was a carvery and not much to choose from. Its a little pricey too. Staff are nice but not bothered. Atmosphere is non existant. Won’t be going back.

Cozy! There’s nothing that’s overly special about this place I suppose, pints, just like any other pub. Grub, just like any other pub but the atmosphere just feels like home I guess. There’s always banter with the bar men and it’s a great place to come for rugby events and maybe just sporting events in general. Smoking garden is nice and spacious and the central location in heart of Castleknock helps a lot, other than that, nothing really to write home about. — a local pub, for the local people

This place used to be my local when I was still living on that side of town. I’ve been back a few times since, mostly unplanned because it is just a nice local and fairly handy when you’re in Castleknock and feeling parched. It’s a spit-and-sawdust sort of place, quiet enough during the week and perfect for a few pints with a group of people. The staff are friendly and there’s always some banter between the regulars and the barmen. There is basically nothing special about Myos but the chairs are comfortable and the pints are good– a great local.
