We were passing through the town of Castlecomer and in need of a coffee and sandwich. As we passed the town centre with its ample off road car park we spotted the attractive frontage of the Lime Tree. The interior is bright and clean with an eclectic mix of bric-à-brac and football jerseys in glass cases. The wooden tables are covered in tablecloths and napkins are on the preset tables. The place looks great but the main event is the food. The waitress brought the menu and we both had the chicken salad sandwich which was served with chips. A pot of tea and a massive bowl of coffee were also served and the bill came to less than € 20. If we are ever passing through Castlecomer again(I suppose it is possible) I would make a point of going into the Lime Tree again.
