Tully’s Bar

I celebrated my 22^nd birthday here… we opened the place and I was hammered by 12 noon, carried back to my flat, slept till 7:30pm only to come back again at 8pm and do a little more celebrating… get the picture?
Tully’s Pub, what can I say about this place?! It’s a great place for lunch, they make great soups and sandwiches, sit in the window and watch all the Carlow folk going about their business.
I would usually meet my brother’s or their current girlfriends here every Saturday afternoon for a drink and it would be a great start to our weekend. The atmosphere is cool hippy/student/don’t give a fuck locals/​yer aunty Mary and the local priest all slapped into one little space. Van Morrison/​The Cure/​Lady Gaga/​Christy Moore/​Bob Marley/​Radiohead. could be playing on the sound system, and it’s all grand, it’s just… Tully’s!
My bro’s say they pull a great pint here (Guinness, a «pint» is always Guinness unless stated otherwise) and if you come here on Christmas eve you will meet all your old friends who emigrated to US/Japan/OZ/UK/EU…the whole local Irish contingent abroad gather and have a proper knees-​up!
