Bray library has been a mainstay of the local community for generations. It’s an unusual building off the main street surrounded by a well kept and pretty garden, perfect for sitting in and absorbing some well-leafed literature. The library is well stocked and kept up to date. The library organises book clubs and activities for children year round. It is the librarians at the library, however, who keep the community reading. To say that the staff are tireless in their search for the book you need would be an understatement, it’s a mission, and they WILL succeed. The librarians, many of whom have become well known faces at the library throughout the years, are above all helpful and enthusiastic about books. Many a sixth year student has spent hours in consultation with staff over their history special topic(myself included!). The library can be a bit noisier than you might desire, with secondary school students taking the place over at certain times of the year. But take a few books home, and sure they’re not too harsh on the fines.
