Hobby Airsoft

I came to get a uniform and the employee Ciaran was so nice and help me picked out all of my gear and gave me 6 Euro off thanks very much.

The first time I dealt with this shop, I ordered online, I spent approximately € 75 including shipping.
They sent the package by GLS (global logistic solutions) the most incompetent and substandard courier company I have ever dealt with, I wouldn’t have ordered anything from hobby Airsoft if I knew this was the shipping method. In fact I once drove from Dublin to Limerick rather than get something delivered by GLS
Anyone who has dealt with GLS will know what I’m talking about.
After the usual GLS debacle I had to take time off work and drive to their depot and pick up the package myself.
Not hobby airsoft’s fault? No of course it’s not.
However 2 of the items I had ordered were a camouflage hat and a tshirt in the same pattern. They sent me the wrong colour, it wasn’t even similar. I had ordered Multicam and instead I got the polish army camouflage pattern.
I rang the shop and they offered to send replacements by GLS. I quickly rejected this option and I told the guy I was onto that I would call to them myself
Saturday afternoon I drove all the way there, the guy I had spoken to on the phone was behind the counter and he remembered me. He took the wrong items from me and went upstairs, he came back with a plastic carrier bag, I opened the bag and I saw my hat and tshirt in the correct colour, there was also a big bag of Airsoft BBs. He told me they were for any trouble I had experienced.
I was happy with this and I had a look around and left. I drove back towards Dublin stopping to pick my current wife up from the nearby avoca where I had parked her. We then headed back towards Dublin, 10 miles down the road, the current wife asked me what I had bought (nosy cow) and she had a look in the bag.
«Why did you buy this tshirt?» She asked
«Why do you think?» I replied
«But this is a size small» she said
Cue lots of braking and cursing, kids might read this so I won’t go into details.
Now I’m lots of things but I’m not small, I’m XXL built for comfort not speed, and that is what I had ordered.
I turned around at the first opportunity and sped back towards Greenogue bus park.
I was cursing and swearing vengeance the whole way back. I got there and marched in, the guy behind the counter took one look at me clutching the wadded up tshirt in my fist and a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp and immediately fled the scene.
A helpful blonde girl intercepted my pursuit before it could get started and talked me down. She handled herself very well in dealing with a very large and clearly very angry man, found out what the problem was, checked and told me that unfortunately they had no multicam tshirts left in my size.
She was so helpful and efficient that somehow instead of taking my money back, she talked me into spending another € 25 on a Gunbag that I didn’t need and have only used a couple of times in the last 3 years. But I have it if I need it
But the story doesn’t end there. I was in the area a year or so later, (I hate Avoca) and I popped into hobby Airsoft. My buddy who decided that discretion was the better part of valor was behind the counter again. He clearly didn’t remember me and I didn’t remind him. I had a look around not intending to buy anything, somehow got into a chat with this guy and left the proud but slightly confused owner of a new pistol and assorted accessories to the tune of nearly € 200.
So in closing, while I have had my differences with this shop, I’ve returned every time I’ve been in the area and due to the large selection of Airsoft goodies they’ve managed to cram into a relatively small space, I’ve never left empty handed. I’m glad I gave them a second chance
