Fusion Tavern I

Came here when our ship pulled in from deployment. The place has a pool table and a dart machine. The atmosphere is chill and laid back not too crazy like green lizard. The owners knows how to get down and have fun. I recommend this place for someone who just wants to chill and have some drinks.

This was a really fun place to go to and the owner, Mama, is awesome! She’s very lively and friendly with the customers, can drink you under the table, and will beat your ass in basketball. The food was a little slow to come out, but the variety and taste were amazing, so worth the wait. This is definitely a bar atmosphere, smoke included, so if you’re looking for a nice calm dinner, this may not be the place for you, but if you’re looking for great food, and a little more fun and excitement with your meal, I highly recommend this place. I’ll be back soon.

There with a friend based on reviews. Great place. Owner took care of us. Had Biminbap. Excellent! Only detractor is that it smelled smokey but for a bar that’s to be expected.

Solid bar food. Burger was tasty. Bar was out of diet but mama ran out to get some to make out table happy.

Amazing! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good time! The juke box is a welcome addition to the bar as most places have live music that play the same genre again and again. The bar is clean and Mama is very friendly. You can tell she truly cares about the patrons experience. Great selection of beers and liquor. I can’t express enough how much this place makes me feel welcomed! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Anywhere I travel, I like to check out local establishments much more so than any chain. After seeing the great reviews for Fusion Tavern, I was looking forward to going there for dinner with a co-​worker. We walked in and sat down at a table. We were the only ones there at 6:30 in the evening, except one female with long fake braids sitting at the bar. I am not sure if she was working there or «working» there, but I digress. A very sweet woman, which I will assume was «momma» greeted us and took our drink orders. The music was blaring and she went behind the bar and lowered the volume. I know, I know… If the music’s too loud, your too old, I get it. But we were there for dinner and you couldn’t even talk to each other across the table. Shortly thereafter, fake braid girl goes behind the bar and turns the music back up even louder and says to momma, well it’s a bar. So, we order our food. It’s a «fusion» place, so the menu is kinda eclectic, which is cool. My co-​worker ordered some fried noodles and I ordered a chicken chimichanga. His noodles came out 10 minutes before my food, and smelled awesome. He said it was good. When my chicken chimichanga finally came out, it was gristly steak, not chicken at all. I ate it any how, as I didn’t feel like waiting another 15 minutes for chicken. I just kept thinking, if the music hadn’t been too loud, she may have heard me order chicken.
Bottom line… This would probably be an awesome place to hang out with friends and drink beer, but if going out for a meal, I would skip it.

Mama doesn’t disappoint. She made me feel right at home in her bar/​kitchen, introducing me to longtime patrons as they stopped by throughout the night. I enjoyed her fresh Fusion cuisine and picked a unique IPA from her vast collection. As Mama shared stories and shots with many of her guests, it was quickly apparent that she is good at what she does. Her bar feels full, regardless of how many people are there – a place where I felt comfortable and will return.

If you must hang out in Tumon, you might as well go to the bar that I love the best on the island. Mama is the greatest. The food is great pub grub… the Spicy Korean Pork Tacos and a Racer 5 IPA… That is Fusion. Just what you would think a typical US neighborhood bar would be way out in the Pacific of nowhere, owned by an independent Korean woman. Great Beer, Great food, and Great people.

We come here quite often, great beer selection, great food available late at night! Mama (the owner) is absolutely out of her mind especially as the night progresses, but we all love her and her bar!

Always feels like home! Great food, great selection of beers and caring owner. She might be crazy but she always takes care of you and make sure your are alright! First stop after every deployment.

Mama’s (Fusions 1) is like the home you didn’t know you wanted until your like, «oh hey! This place has it all.». The foods on point, great beer selection, and an owner with a great personality. Mama take you on like her own child.
Well more like my own Mom. «Ma, I should stop drinking.» «No you drink and joy me shot, you don’t have church tomorrow!»

I don’t know why I ever leave this place… This is everything you could want from a bar in Guam; The biggest selection of beer on the island. The craziest selection of food to fill any craving. And the kitchen is usually open until midnight. Mama is a little crazy, but you would be too if you drank sailors under the table every night of the week.

I only stopped by here once for a mid-​afternoon brew, but I’d definitely come back to support one of the great hidden spots in Guam to grab great, non-​macro beers. (Be warned though, that these beers are imported, so they’ll be a bit pricier than your typical beer.) The mom & pop owners are super chill, and so’s the ambiance. There’s a pool table, a jukebox, and some random arcade games (e.g., a basketball machine. Whatttt.). Didn’t try the food, but next time I come by, I’ll have to have some of their tuna poke!
