La Poterie du Peyra

Man! I wish I had found this gem before I was having to wind down the shopping efforts. La Poterie du Peyra is right inside the entry to the old city and has beautiful aprons, table linens, and of course, pottery. This is not the typical kitchy touristy pottery; they have some simple and elegant stoneware pitchers, vases, and serving ware. While the load capacity on our vehichle was maxed out with regards to any additional bulky purchases (ie. pottery) I was seriously having to hold myself back from buying another beautiful table cloth (I’m sure there’s a support group for people like me out there…) I was able to aknowledge that my table cloth quota had been met for this trip, but I couldn’t leave there empty handed! I found a set of three dish towels with that wonderful Provencal red featured in all of them. The prices seemed quite reasonable — 9.50 Euro for the set. If I had come across this place when the shopping was reving up I could have done some serious damage here. Oh well, there’s always next time!
