All the food in Paris is so… French. After a bit of time all of the brasseries start to merge together into one duck/escargot/foie gras/croque madame blur and you need something different to cleanse your palette. Enter Welcome to Instabul. Welcome to Istanbul is a welcome(ha) distraction off the strip of restaurants where owners are actually standing in the street begging you to eat at their establishments(totally weird and creepy). My husband and I walked right in and were immediately swooning over the amazingly delicious aromas. Grilled meats. Spicy couscous. Fresh pita. It was all so refreshingly different from the usual menus in Paris. And the food DIDNOT disappoint. I ordered the chicken kabob and hummus. It was perfection. The chicken thighs are super charred and flavorful and the hummus is smooth and creamy and delicious on the fresh, hot pita. The price was excellent as well. We all go to Paris for amazing food, but sometimes you just need a break from traditional French fare. When the urge for something different hits, try out WtI.

We had our best meal for our 4 day stay in Paris at this quaint, little restaurant. Excellent Kabobs and eggplant. I will seek WTI out when I return to Paris. Our service was impeccable, our waiter was attentive and the delivery of the food was timely given the fact it was served freshly cooked.

Came out of Notre Dame and needed a place to cool off and get food. The place looked cleaner and less populated with tourists than all the surrounding places so I decided to give it a shot. Good call. The food was fresh and cheap by Paris standards. Try the kabobs or anything with the yogurt sauce. I also recommend the mezza or vegetarian dishes. Service was good and pleasant. Another plus is a very clean bathroom, not always easy to come by after a full day of sightseeing. Enjoy.

Everytime I go to Paris, I try to come here for a yogurtlu adana and meze! This is one of the most consistently good, clean and efficient turkish restaurant in Paris. See you soon again for exactly the same items!

I was wary about walking into any restaurant in that area full of tourists, but this place seemed much better than the central quarter chefs are fighting for business, ticket restaurants aren’t accepted, and fries are the only sides for anything else you order. At the very least Welcome to Istanbul is a legitimate restaurant. Mind you, the service is still slow to non-existent, but the food is decent and there’s a cleanish bathroom for you to use. The Kebab is good, comes with salad, fries, and bulgur made with tomatoes and peppers, but not also rice, which i was slightly disappointed about. 9EUR for a plate. No Samurai sauce, just harissa, bbq, tartar available for choosing. I think for a typical Turkish joint in Paris, this one is worth coming to, in relations to the others ones in the area. 3.5 rounded to a 4.
