Les chaussures sont de moins en moins bonne qualité, mais les sacs sont carrément de mauvaise qualité: les brides cassent après très peu d“utilisation et impossible de faire réparer en boutique (Le Bön Marché) ils réclament le ticket de caisse, comme si on le gardait éternellement et ils donnent une adresse d’un réparateur sans doute hors de prix comme les sacs à payer de sa poche…
Très mauvais rapport qualité/​prix.

Flawless shopping experience, from the warm greeting at the door to the infinitely knowledgeable salesman, to the excellent selection of Tod’s goodies (spread across two floors), to the impeccable presentation of my purchase. The cashier helped me figure out how to get the VAT refund, and the salesman gave me a heads-​up about the drool-​worthy sales they are planning during Les Soldes next month.
The super ritzy location on the Faubourg St. Honoré makes it easy to combine all your luxury shopping into one neighborhood. I didn’t get to check out the St. Germain location on this trip but I suspect this one is the Paris mothership. It was way less hectic and crowded than the one I visited in Rome recently, which made me claustrophobic. This location is really spacious and pleasant, with room to spread out.
For my fellow American bargain hunters … the best place to buy Tod’s is Italy, but if you’re in France, you might want to take a look! Sticker prices are definitely cheaper than in the US, plus you are not paying sales tax AND the VAT is deducted from the sticker price, so you end up getting something like 20−30% off if you spend more than 175 euros in the store (hard not to …)

La Tod’s c’est plus qu’une chaussure… bien plus que de simples picots (on en compte 133 sous chaque semelle)… C’est une philosophie ! Le raffinement, le luxe non ostentatoire, un gout impeccable et le sens de la qualite, on fait la reputation de la marque italienne. Cette chaussure est aujourd’hui un classique. Ideale a porter avec un jeans ou tout autre tenue «casual».
Mais depuis les annees 1970, la marque a aussi etendu sa gamme…
